I can't do anything which requires artistic talent. I'd include animations in that category. I haven't looked at how animations are done, in fact.

However, I was wondering how hard it would be to add some small soft "bobbing" movement to your bubbles though. So they just sort of seem to be naturally floating in air, affected by air currents.

if you can find a 'bobbing script' i would pay serious bucks for a copy. i've been trying to create one for months, with no luck at all. :( i recently bought a bouncy, but it still does not give me the effect i am after.

Oh I love those stuffed breads. I make them from scratch sometimes but cheat a bit. Buy pre-made pizza dough from the grocery and then stuff them with whatever I have on hand. A favorite one is sauteed broccoli rabe, salty olives, provolone and some kind of meat like italian sausage or pepperoni. Bake until dough is nicely browned and insides are all hot and melty.

Warning: NOT heart healthy :p

stop!

please!

don't!

stop!

i mean, please don't stop. sounds YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY! (i'm starving, but not to death)

I get all my best SL travel tips from this thread. I'm too lazy to look back but a big "Thank You" to whoever posted the pic and mentioned Mao Island. What an awesome serious of builds!

Flying a balloon over the Great Wall at sunrise, it would be pretty tough to top that in RL.

love this! :)

Amazingly enough there are actually snowflakes falling from the sky here in Houston. Too bad it's only 38 degrees here.

I'm sure most of you are are thinking "So, what's the big deal", but this a rare event for us.

i always say "38* if it was raining it'd be snowing." :D

Mr. trouble never hangs around,

when he hears this Mighty sound,

Here I come to save the day!

That means that Mighty Mouse is on the way!

Yes sir, when there is a wrong to right,

Mighty Mouse will join the fight!

On the sea or on the land,

He's got the situation well in hand!

You Are Dancer Carefree and fun, you always find reasons to do a happy dance.

Why You're Naughty: That dark stint you had as Santa's private dancer.

Why You're Nice: You're friendly. Very friendly.

Unless there's a technical reason, I don't see why something like this shouldn't be possible. Unless it's an issue with lagging a sim too much? For the bubbles, I was thinking of a very slow, almost imperceptable, "bobbing."

Just as I've given up trying to get Gimp to work. Shesh. All I want is some simple editing thing. Can't even find crop on there. Bascially all I do. Crop and make the picture darker or lighter. Now I can't do that. Can't crop, can't make picture darker, lighter.

And picture aspect all messed up.

Well, if anyone liked my pictures before . . . um . . that's all in the past now. :(

In the toolbox select the tool that looks like a rectangle with dotted lines. Drag your mouse with the left button held down around the area you wish to preserve and crop outside of. Go to the Image menu and choose "Crop to Selection", done.

For lighter/darker, go to the Colors menu and choose "Brightness-Contrast" You move the two sliders around until you get what you want. Make sure you check the Preview box and it will show you the changes because you accept them with the OK button.
For good results, to make the picture darker slide Brightness towards the left and Contrast toward the right to compensate, to make it lighter do the opposite, slide Brightness towards to right and Contrast towards the left in compensation.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks :) Trying to learn a new viewer (SL), new computer, new keyboard layout, etc. at same time as noticing computer came with no programs is probably not the right time to see if like something like Gimp.

I've played a little more with Gimp since. Your information helped. :)

Now I just need to figure out how to get SL to look "right." heh, new computer, different aspect ratio of computer, and of viewer.

Oh, that wasn't what I was going to say as next need to figure out (though need to figure that out), next is figuring out how to batch edit stuff (taking batch of .png pictures renaming them something while at same time changing to .jpg like could do on old computer).

YVWM :), what were you using for the batch file handling before the new computer?

For very basic editing like croping, lighten, darken or changing the format or aspect ratios:

Irfanview. It is free, extremely easy to use, fast and has a huge following. And you can do batch processing.

@ Jessee- a page or so back- keeping in mind i have that 40/page thing going on- i posted a pic of some funky bubbles (you can also find them in my blog if u get bored of looking for them in here). Then Love thought it would be fun if they could bob up and down a bit- you being script knowledgeable- is such a thing possible? It is a combo of I think 5 or six prims with the main one being larger and tho others just little satellite bubbles- may be even if just the satellite one's bobbed? - My blog is in my siggy. TIA

You Are Cupid

A total romantic, you're always crushing on a new reindeer.

Why You're Naughty: You've caused so much drama, all the reindeers aren't speaking to each other.

Why You're Nice: You have a knack for playing matchmaker. You even hooked Rudolph up!
