And when I was growing up, we said poynt-set-ah. When I moved to San Diego, and saw Pointsettia Lane where so many of these lovelies are grown, I started hearing it pronounced poynt-set-ee-ah. How is the flowering plant pronounced in your neck of the woods?

i say poynt-set-uh
MIL says poynt-see-ett-uh (she also says warsh and srimp)

It is really strange out there- I agree- what's with all the sex stuff lately? Doesn't anyone have anything else to think about? Geesh- Suddenly we are awash in hormones- thank goodness we have found a modicum of fluctuating sanity in here - whew- sexy we we want and silly when we want and both at the same time if we feel like it. since this is honorary Friday week, I wanted to post this somewhere, but I don't want to venture outside.

I saw a vid card today advertised with a "Double Lifetime Warranty" and no friggin explanation what exactly that means. :confused: It's covered if it dies twice??? I think the doubling craze has gone a tad too far.

We call that "cabin fever" up here, which *has* set in already :( More economic than snow-based I think.

Speaking of around here folks say pointSETuh, so that's the way I learned. I couldn't spell it if my life depended on it.
