Happy Guy Fawkes day Claire! I'm celebrating something I was afraid I'd never see in my lifetime - the election of a person of color as president of my country. And the election of a president who's successful campaign suggests he can inspire, organize, and lead with hope and courage rather than fear and anger. Well, Half Color anyway.  But it is an important event from a historical standpoint, and hopefully a sign of the old ways of categorizing people being thrown out. |

"Across the street" is a forum for forum games and such. This morning I found a Limericks thread there, and came up with a little ditty about a very popular poster over there.
Well....  ....over lunch inspiration has struck about a number of fine folks over here as well. If anyone has any problem being the focus of a limerick, let me know and I'll skip over you. @ Claire- if it is V for Vendetta- how apropos is that?  If you've seen the film, V wears the above mask. Its based on a popular likeness of Guy Fawkes:  And everything he does is based on the ideals guy fawkes represented to him. All the way through its counting down from one Nov 5th toward the next and what he will do then. It starts by him blowing up the Old Bailey, and ends with the blowing up of Parliament.
