I think Bradley and Raymond are offline so I think I can slip a question in without them knowing I have been here. Can I be given the go-ahead to go on shoot and destroy mission to eradicate the intensely annoying partners who I meet when I am buying skins and hair? You know them; they look like Pork Loin (the brainless pig star - was that his name?) in reruns of the Muppets Show? These "men" are so falsely NICE to their partners. They have a kinda stupid grin on their faces. and they hehehe in huge quantities. Then you have to listen to a perfectly hideous avitar waffle on about her "hubby" and call him a "brat". Those words "hubby" and "brat" make me grind my teeth. They usually have a profile pic of each other with inane grins on their faces. It is like watching muffin-tops in the real world or people who test food out in supermarkets by eating a handful of grapes! Arrrrgh!!

Stop The Madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is this really your mission in life? To be a self important, judgemental little twit, who has nothing better to do than annoy and look down on people? The routine was funny for awhile but it's getting old, even for me. Grow up.

I comfort myself with the fact that on a long enough timeline, everyone's true personality is revealed (with the exception of the best sociopaths, and I doubt they stay in SL very long as the wards for them are minimal). Mind... shooting would be faster and all around less painful for many

This sounds far too specific to be a general "doncha just hate it when" rant, you brat!

Actually, I think it is a reasonable question - I think the sl world would be better off without the playschool attitudes that some partnerships and freidnships decline into. Eventually the habit of playing in this world like Dick and Jane makes this place a suburban nightmare. So much crumbles here because many people don't accept that NO ONE ever calls the partner "hubby" in reality. Sl needs a touch of that just to keep afloat. Reality, that is. And I am not mad, thank you. Simply curious. I really am. I should add that my partner is a charming individual who keeps me in check and never once does he gush on about me.

What's the point of having a partner if you can't rot out the teeth of people around you?

OK, these things might be annoying to hear, but really I think you have to practice Live and Let Live here and don't get so wound up about what other people do in their SL. It's not doing anyone any harm, and they obviously like it or they wouldn't do it. It's like anything people do here, it may not be my cup of tea but it's part of SL that they can do it if they like.
I say "whatever floats your boat".

Can I have permission to orbit the Goreans who walk up into your personal space and speak in the third person about how they would never consider you worth because you aren't on your knees calling them Master?

My personality is really like this and my occupation expects me to be smart-ass and controversial. I can't help it. Just turn me off if you dont like my questions. I really don't wanna upset you THAT much.

That's people for you - not everyone is going to be, think, or do the same as you. I doubt any of us would want a RL or a SL full of people exactly like ourselves. You don't HAVE to read their profiles or take any notice of them. Sometimes your opinions, choice of language etc make my teeth grind. You're probably annoying the heck out of more people than just Bradley and Raymond I suspect. Or perhaps that's the point. Anyway the short answer to your Q: No. (Hehehe)

Jig, you might get on well with the angry redneck I had a row with last night after he falsely accused me in group chat of being one of SL's worst ad cutters. He might be more your type. No saccharin there, but probably quite a bit of pork though!

I run into these couples sometimes when I'm out shopping. They want to adopt me and take me home, and then I have to explain that I already have a home, thank you very much, and then they're amazed that I can talk.
Sometimes I do tricks to amuse them because they are so clueless, I just can't be mean to them.

Youre not being a smart ass or controversial or cool. Just really lame and negative, shallow and whiny. Live and Let live. If it isnt happening directly to you then its not your business. Life is so much easier when you show tolerance and mind your own business.

I strongly suggest you try being a happy person. Yes, you will eventually meet up with those who are unhappy (jealous? judgmental?) of your happiness and the way you choose to express it (hubby, hehe, profile pic), but being the strong, creative, unique person that you are, it won't really matter what others think of you. Why? Because YOU WILL BE HAPPY. So happy, in fact, you won't even notice what couples around you are saying to each other.

I call my husband "hubby" sometimes in real life. Not on SL, usually, but it is something I sometimes say. Guess you can come shoot me now.

I think that SL should be a place where people can be what they want to be, without anyone dictating to them how they should act. If you don't like what someone is doing, do you whatever business you have there and tp out. That is YOUR right.

Well it's not something you normally use to address someone, yeah? I mean in person I address him by name, or one of our sickeningly silly pet names. But yeah, when talking (or, more likely, writing) about him, I use hubs/hubby quite commonly.
