I'd say learn to use that 512, be very prim conscious of items and make do with it for a bout a couple months.
Then when you do start getting more land, you'll be far better at managing it and making it look good.
I do miss my old 2km but doing just fine with my little 512. Think I miss the trees and waterfall most... oh well
Still got a couple pictures to cheer me up, and who knows might set it up again somewhere in time

I just realized
in 2 years I went from a 512 land owner to having 2 premium accounts and over 11000 land owner
yikes!!!
yes prims are addictive, and that is why I have so damn much land
(and I want more!!)

From: Derbor Torok That is great Czari... now you have a good place to store/sell those gas masks you found/made.. .d /me spews Pepsi on the monitor and dies laughing I didn't think anyone would remember that! That gas mask came in some freebie package long ago and when I saw it thought it was just unusual enough to hang onto. Hmmmm....maybe I can start a "survivalist" store. Nawwwwwwwwwwww

From: Rhaorth Antonelli CONGRATS CZARI!!! Let me know when you have it all set up, I will come have a look Thanks Rha! Right now there is a prim on the land (actually it's in a water sim so the prim is on the surface of the water) textured with sand to visually mark off my area and a little full-featured house in the sky that I won someplace. Construction on Czari's Attic will begin soon

Its like the difference between being "Home Owner" instead of a "renter", isnt it?

From: Czari Zenovka I chose the yearly payment option and since I don't pay tier on the 512,
You think? You not only pay tier but you pay more for that small piece of land then someone who had a basic account and rented from the private sector. In the private sector $10 US what you more or less pay for that 512 you can get 2-4 times bigger land. Linden tells you you're getting "free" land for a premium account which pays what? Nine to 10 bucks for the privilege of being a premium account. And being a premium account gets you exactly what? More support? Please. Support in premium is just as bad as support in basic. There's no difference. What a con.

ah but premium also gives you the stipend which I think is now 300 L, so for a month that is 1200L towards your premium cost, not much but it does help, which at the time of this post, converts to 4.22 which knocks the 9.95 premium monthly cost (if you pay monthly) down to 5.73
so.... you would be paying 5.73 per month for the 512.. can you get a 512 on a private sim for 5.73? AND have the piece of mind of knowing that a landlord is not just gonna up and boot you for no reason AND you can do whatever you wish with it, be it a home one day, a business the next, or a club if you so desire....
I say premium is not a bunch of bull
other's may disagree, it is all a personal opinion and each person will decide which is right for them
and as for support, premium does give you more options, I have been premium for a little more than 2 years and I have always had good results with support
could it be that some people approach support with the attitude that they will not get help, thus... they get no help and get exactly what they expected? (not all people, but I am sure some do that)

What a con. Nope.. you pay $72 bucks per year, you get back (300*52/265) back as your stipend.. so you end up paying a little over one dollar a month. If you can find me a 2048 parcel for that price please show me... .d

.d It's even better if you are grandfathered in at 500 a week. Me paying quarterly I think I nearly break even..........for the year.
