Brenda thank you for your PM reply, and I have to agree with almost every point you made. I knew the default position of many of the hangout were going into instant flame mode with this post, predicatble yet again. However as entertaining as thay all are, whats said is said and if people wish to take the ball and run with it; have a *gasp* mature discussion about it then my work is done. Its clear that no matter what I say at this point certain folks are going to find some way, some reason to flame me even if I make solid, valid comments/points (which I feel the vast majoirty have been). Thus it's best if I move on to other topics at this point as my posts no matter the content will do nothing but give then fuel to turn a valid convo into a flamefest. They are going to act the way they act and show their true colors as they gang me yet try to claim its not a mob action or clique in the same breath. *chuckles* On a side note I ponder what the reactions would be from some of them if, with the same convictions, I was arguing for the hangout forums posts here... hhhmmm I have a feeling I'd be on most of their friends list being invited to their virtual BBQ at this point. *smirk* Thank you again Brenda and everyone else who attempted to have a civil debate. Moving on... Hmm I'd invite you to a SL BBQ anyway. (do people really have those?)Sometimes I don't agree with my friends and sometimes I even agree with my "enemies". I think anyone that uses this forum for its intended purpose gets the support they need. When you start talking about spouting opinions on controversial topics (which is not the intended purpose of this forum), you should expect to be opposed by a large number of people. Regardless, I still see us all as a community. Some people just like being rebels without a cause, or a clue. It doesn't matter how much or how little you use it. Example: the Ad farmer banline stuff. My opinion isn't popular but it's mine, and even though most people disagree with me, I don't feel any less a part of the community or that there is some clique. And I don't feel like I'm being targeted just because it's me. It's just a respectful disagreement, and that's healthy.

Same thing. The forum is up at work , I come and go, and at home a lot of times I'm too busy to log onto the grid, but I keep the forum up, and check in from time to time. I've found myself posting here from 9am - 12 midnight sometimes. It makes me worry that people think that's all I do. I guess I'm a little ADD cause if I'm working on something and click enter I immediately have to go somewhere else while the system takes its half second to think. Usually that somewhere is a news site or here. |

Why is there so many people confessing that they are breaking TOS rules by sharing accounts in forums? Do they just not care? Or perhaps they just weren't thinking and don't care? Are they asking to get caught because getting caught excites their excite parts? Oh by the way I am a Outsider, while I have sometimes felft alienated and very uninterested in this whole socializing thing, should I be feeling worse about this Outsider status of mine? QFT I've had a few unpopular opinions that I've expressed and I haven't felt that I was being attacked or flamed. I stated my opinions respectfully and I feel like I made my point. I've seen others come in and spit bile and anger and then whine like babies when they get negative responses. Well, what the hell do you expect. Two ways to state something: "I'm concerned that the gambling ban in SL is written in a way that is difficult for people to understand and is so ambiguous that it is difficult to distinguish what is and is not allowed. Further, I think LL had a lot of options which would have allowed gaming to continue in SL to some extent and that they chose the most drastic measure because it was the easiest on them, despite it causing a lot of harm to a number of their customers."
