Submit Tickets , till they realize there is a problem down there
Thats what i've done, they are still working on mine

I submitted a ticket yesterday (March 15). Today I got an email from LL Support - "Your ticket has now been escalated and assigned to the appropriate queue to deal with your problem.
Someone will be in touch with you as soon as possible." and they closed my ticket. <sigh> Of course I've heard nothing since.

and, btw, I tried to change my email address to my gmail. Didn't work.

Is this a problem only with Release 1.22.11 or just in general?

It's not a bug, it's a serious misconfiguration of the Grid's email system. Any inworld object's email message is sent directly from the sim to the outside mail host. So, technically, what ever number of sims out there now are how many outbound email servers LL currently has and then some - 15,000 email servers!? And, each AV's objects are allowed to send up to 500 messages per hour outbound. Each object can send 3 emails a minute.

Get a few free Alt accounts, find some land that allows create objects, and setup the spambots! It's no wonder they got on the PBL.spamhaus.org list!

A sensible mail systems admin would have set the system up to use a relay host so that all outbound mail goes through a central gateway and subject to anti-spam checks before being delivered to outside domains.

It is my understanding that outbound emails don't go directly from the sim/server they are genreated on out to the net @ large , they are instead spun up and out to one of the central email gateways on the network....may not still be that way, used to be though.

Test emails have been going thru for me in the past 15 min or so. Tried from three different regions to an email addy that was previously not working. All three went through fine and quick. Hopefully this is starting to clear up.

I'm not either and it appears now that all imto-emails are being sent to gmail spam despite not having marked any as such. A whole whack showed up after searching for "secondlife" in my gmail spam folder for the time period when this has been messed up.

At this point Linden Lab has thrown the whole mess into the JIRA - that is basically pushing it off for people to vote on ... as in "yeah it's a problem and if enough of you care we will get around to addressing it"

Please take the time to go there and figure out how to "vote" for it to be resolved:

http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2573

Voting is found on the left column near the end.

Response to my support ticket:
Thank you for contacting us. The grid status ticket was removed and the issue moved to the public issue tracker, we where we are currently working on a solution, you can see the progress and comment if you wish using the link below.

http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2573

This issue will be resolved as soon as possible and we apologise for the inconvenience.

Thanks!

Sheldon

My response to them:
Can not believe this issue has been tossed into that snake pit jira - for gods sake people try their best to make a few dollars here- rental boxes, vendors- our customer service!! our book keeping has been totally disrupted. At what point do you take initiative and fix what is a huge issue? You need people to vote on it??

Yeah it wasn't working the other day and I lost my lot in SLeezywood where I have lived since I started SL :( I usually get a warning 2 days before and I was not in SL all weekend but was checking my email off and on. I logged in yesterday to find I lost my home. Oh well.

Geeze- so sorry, I implore land owners to have some sensitivity when it comes to paying late given the sad state of prim to email notification.
