Is anyone else having problems with offline IM's being forwarded to their e-mail? Mine have suddenly, out of the blue, stopped coming through to my e-mail.

Having the Same Issue with IM's - NONE forwarded...
03-16-2009 10:05
The grid states mainly an issue with mail types yahoo etc..... I am in Comcast and have not gotten any IM's forwarded for 2 days now. They suggest changing your email. WHAT!!! That makes no sense if it is a SL problem. It would be nice if they explain the reasoning in a little more detail plus they show it as resolved.... msw

8.10.144.0/24 is listed on the Policy Block List (PBL)

Outbound Email Policy of The Spamhaus Project for this IP range:

This IP range has been identified by Spamhaus as not meeting our policy for IPs which should deliver 'direct-to-mx' mail to PBL users.

Important: If you are using any normal email software such as Outlook, Entourage, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, and you are being blocked by this Spamhaus PBL listing when you try to send email, the reason is simply that you need to turn on "SMTP Authentication" in your email software settings (Tools : Accounts : Properties : Outgoing Mail Server : check "My server requires authentication";).
If you do not know how to do this, ask your Internet Service Provider for help with "SMTP Authentication".

SL knows about that, but will not contact the spamlists, they are on from their misconfiguration of the smtp-server

My server requires authentication... IM's
03-16-2009 10:57
This box has always been checked in my Outlook.... And Comcast is main stream. What is the hang up with Linden? Anyone know? I have a basic account so I CAN NOT put in a ticket. Anyone know another way to get the message across to Linden? I am part of a charitable group and NOT getting inworld IM's is getting to be a very big deal. msw

Thing is, the Mails not even hitting my Spam folder (as intended for any Mail's who are concerned as spam)
They're just not there, tried it with 2 Providers now. A local German Mail Service (gmx) and GoogleMail, both do not work

Gmail has started sending my IMs-to-email to the spam folder also.

You can make a filter for From:lindenlab.com and have the action be "Never send to spam" to fix that, but this is a new problem with Gmail for me.

Yikes, I just checked my Gmail spam box. There are 16 messages in there from SL. Thanks for the heads up, guys. Suzanne's "never send to spam" tip seems to do the trick.

While the spam concept seems to be popular, I'm using a Blackberry with, as far as I know, no spam filters on it at all.

Besides that, when I tried to switch the e-mail account that SL sends to, the alert that I'd switched, that got e-mailed correctly.

I noticed it a few days ago. I'm on @live.nl and don't get any e-mails forwarded anymore. Changing e-mail address is not an option for me, because all my in-world and off-world SL activities are connected with this address.

I am losing customer IMs! LL, please fix it!
