Prim to Email Borked?

Anyone notice prim to email has gone south? have a few visitor trackers no longer reporting, and ones I was making no longer function.....

Some Offline & Object IMs not being delivered (Posted by Status Desk on March 14th, 2009 at 05:31 pm PDT): We are aware of an issue where some IMs are not working properly, or at all. These are currently affecting both Offline IMs and Object IMs. We are continuing efforts to resolve this issue and will update this blog post when more information is available.

Even Xst boxes are quiet.

[RESOLVED - 10:40AM Pacific] IMs to Email are now working again. We are still receiving some reports of failed emails, to @hotmail.com, @live.com and @yahoo.com addresses. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact your email provider, or try an alternative email address.

So i guess i have to either create a new email account, or ask my ISP why im not receiving IMs from sl when im off line.

I use Gmail and have not had any problems in receiving IM emails.

and it seems to be affecting comcast too

I don't know if it's back to normal, but my custom domain without spam filtering wasn't receiving all the messages the last few days, either.

Three areas we have still not sending prim to email- Kochoomo, Cristal Cove and Oltonfell three email addresses none of which hear a peep... (yes checked and confirmed settings are correct) would be shocked if an issue was reported resolved if it wasn't- if this was the first time, sadly another feature of Second Life bites the dust

After running around and "testing" we found one email address that still functioned a-"gmail" account.

That's curious. I thought I'd had an exceptionally slow weekend for sales. Checked my transactions history - whaddaya know, sales! So I figured the emails weren't getting through.

Just now I thought to check my (gmail) spam inbox. Two days worth of sales, IMs and magic box notices, all marked as spam. I could cheerfully hit gmail.

I have received only one IM to Hotmail email in the last several days, and that was delivered 3 days delayed after it was sent.

Me too, haven't had anything delivered from SL in three days...but things from XStreet come through ok

Issue is defnitiely not resolved. Using GMX, no IM to email in the last three days and its definitely NOT the spam filter.

LL: Fix it !

Just made a brand new box, a brand new script, in a sim that my other currently non working servers are not in.

Scripted it to llEmail one of my addy's on touch_start. No worky.

While the spam concept seems to be popular, I'm using a Blackberry with, as far as I know, no spam filters on it at all.

Besides that, when I tried to switch the e-mail account that SL sends to, the alert that I'd switched, that got e-mailed correctly.

emails from LL are reaching email boxes with no problem at all, to any provider.
just the ones coming from inside the world, (both from objects but from residents too) never go out.

So in that case, the spam theory is off the mark, and it's definitely a problem on SL's end?

It was ok for me earlier but now it has stopped working again.

emails from LL are secondlife.com domains inworld objects carry the @lsl.secondlife.com domain.

The LL domain is fine, it is the lsl domain that is at issue.

I just went a couple of rounds with 1and1 (my email provider/webhost) over it, they wont even discuss thier internal blacklisting with me. It is going to be up to LL alone to get their name cleared off the blacklists. I think we can only sit back and wait and complain. I do wonder if there is any chance LL would entertain the idea for us - to after this is fixed turn in a support ticket with the email addys you have that were effected and they re-roll all the emails that were sent via lsl.secondlife.com domians to those addys since the friday when this started? At least we would not have this huge 4 day hole in our vendor data logs and whatever other numbers people may use these emails to track.

I don't know if I would consider it a 'bug' per say to have one of the functional parts of your communications channels blacklisted the world over and no backup IP addys ready to roll over onto while the issue is cleared up.

At least they haven't resolved it is 'a bug' only it is still open on the gridstats page which hopefully means they are actively working on it. Many many people have grown to depend on these emails now, and many many people make a sell products based on llEmail. That is alot of suddenly broken content out there.

I did just test the following..

Prim to Prim intragrid email is working
Outside In to Prim is working
Inside prim to outside email is not.
**Caveat these with 'for me'

Each tested in same two send and recieve prims, same sim, sending in from same email addy I tried to send out to.
