From: danica Cullen I'd consider camp chairs gambling. You don't put in L$, per se, but you put in time Then it's not gambling. Can you insert time into a slot machine?

I am not always able to buy few lindens for uploads. I am premium, I have spent lot of money but I don't have lot of money to spend on virtual things. This year I spent close to 1000 usd and I am just not willing to spend any more so I would love decent place to go camp for few few L. But none exist.. I use to camp but you know what it seems like most camping chairs these days are rigged. They don't seem to pay or it seems like the owner is using bots. If you really don't want bots to use the chairs and truly want to help others create a group for your camping chairs that only group members can use and invite people like myself who are poor struggling artist who need few upload dollars. Camping is pretty much the only job we have in economy for low skilled or unrecognized artist. Unless you want to sell your personal information to places like hippie whatever it is for few Lindens. If the person who is running the camp site is doing so responsibly and its not interferring with other residents I don't see the problem. The truth is there are few legit camping places that are there to help residents its usually rigged with bots which often is done by the owners. Then few other places that are geared to everyone the bots get. I bet they do it as way of syphoning money because they can. You got to have pretty good computer to have all those bots to run. Its not like they really need the money if they can afford a high end computer. I have very mininum or slightly above it on my computer to run sl and I can't even run multiple programs on my computer relating to second life without crashing. Yet I guess this is richer get richer even in Second Life. Lot near my old place in bluehound there was over 10 or more bot like creatures in sky over this gay mall. It was all rigged for traffic. I seriously doubted very few even shopped there. Do we really care about residents when we provide camping places or is it just way to get something out of it in hopes people will buy your stuff? If so why does it matter if a bots uses the chairs or someone like myself just trying to make enough for something they can't buy lindens right now?

Sl is too big for passing traffic... theres a LOT of money buying out the searches
Pretty much there isnt a solution unless you look at the whole system, e.g how do you make somewhere popular.... ohhh maybe we can have a system of reviews, nope that got gamed under the avatar system.
The only real way to get rid of camping.. is getting rid of the REASON to camp.
There should for a start be a "search Zar" where the searches are checked against content i.e search for clothes and get 30 pages of sex ..THEN clothes. the searches should be relivant to the area. Stop making the adverts buyable so everyone gets a fair crack, maybe rotate the adverts around.
Unfortunately SL is like real life, bars and clubs DO employ people to sit there to bring in more people as nobody will go to an empty venue. Companies DO pay large amounts of money for adverts to get more business.
all of these things exist in real life.....
And in case your wondering ... me personally would LOVE to see the end of free accounts as like modern society, it cannot survive if theres more and more people taking and nobody contributing. If you feel that paying to a land renter is going to help... look at the numbers
1 Sim = 65,536sqm 64 Avatars paying tier on 1024 = $512 1 Avatar paying tier on 1 sim = $195 (or $295 if island)
So in a nutshell.... (as said earlier) unless you close free accounts then camping SHOULD stay and offeres a service
The other situation is reopen zoning, where commercial, leasure, residential and parks all had different criteria. So If you search for a hair shop you may just get that.

but......
Can we get rid of zombie chairs, theres nothing worse than been told to be quiet by a bloody camper. Maybe pay people to play games or something.
Offer cash prizes to the winner and runners up prizes... no gambling and may mean more social interaction ... like CASH DARTS *lol*... or CASH POOL...

i have 4 campers at my place and they are to give back to the community and allow the poorer people a way to earn some money ....same as my money tree it is my way to give money back .....many of the campers i have also help out customers when im not around if i see a camper that looks to be a bot i kick them with no pay..... Bot campers are usually more than a week old and have not touched there appearance in anyway ...you can usually tell not all campers are for gaining traffic on a place
