Six, though two of those are for my day job, and one is a laptop that we have generally retired, replacing it with a better model.

I'm going to assume you mean computers, since not everyone uses PCs.

That said, I have one PC, one middle-aged Mac book, and one truly ancient iMac. I prefer Macs, but PCs are still generally better for gaming.

2 Working PC's in use, 2 Laptops in use both bussiness

3 old PC's/Antiques that I would assume work but are not currently in use and probably got components in the 'the cupboard of Doom' to build 2 more PC's.

I am a geek.

Last time I was in RL I think I counted 4 computers in the household. One can be discounted straight away because it's ancient and disused. Next up an old laptop that just about manages to run SL as long as you stay in an empty, uncluttered sim.
Then there's the usual comp that I hook up to which gives a so-so performance.
But there's a new computer, over which there is a lot of competition for use. When I do log in from that one, SL works wonderfully - smooth movement, full Windlight effects, I love it.

Two PC's but only one is online. The second one stores my 15 year old's music.

Then there is my super SL laptop.

That's all.

Misnomer: Most of my boxes aren't "personal computers" so much as headless servers, at this point.

In terms of workstations, I have two: my desktop and my laptop.

I administer about 8 other boxes (4 work-related, two virtual, two physical), not counting support equipment like routers and my jailbroken iPod Touch.

I make liberal use of scripts and Linux. So I'd say I come from the "extreme power user" side of things.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the two in the closet. So, really, three, but I only use one of them.

I can add about four to my count on that note. I'm just talking about running appliances. ;)

And I can build another from parts in boxes in the same closet, but meh ... who wants a P2 anyway? :p

I run one personal computer. And two servers. Most of my products are complex enough that they require a server side backend.

2 laptops, 5 desktops (mine being the newest), 1 PDA

*1 desktop was too underpowered for Windows XP so I tossed on Linux.

1 desktop PC that runs Windows XP - my main computer

I purchased a used IBM Thinkpad several years ago when my desktop was in the shop so I could at least get on line, surf the net, visit on IRC and email. It runs Win98. It will NOT handle SL at all, so it is now packed away in the closet.
