its been my experience that it might take a few weeks and multiple ARs before the lindens move into action, but i have no doubt they will not let that go unchecked. have you considered organising your neighbours? i can remember belonging to sim groups. they arent so popular now, but it may be worth the effort to create one and invite your neighbours. From: Gabby Handrick I have run into a similar issue on my land, my house is on a lake carved out of the mainland that many people have built around and enjoyed for a long time. Recently someone purchased what must be about a half of a region that goes right through the lake. They used tons of giant megaprims to build over the lake and destroy the neighborhood for everyone, they have even all but blocked my access to the water. Even worse, a Linden Labs right of way goes right through their property and they have placed prims over it connecting their property, clearly building on Linden Owned land must be a violation of TOS.
Their build goes right up to the edge of a neighboring sim and they have piled non-phantom megaprims right up against the edge of the sim border, often times encroaching into neighboring land. Often now when I get anywhere near my beach located on the sim border the lag is so bad I can't even walk. Of course other neighbors are also upset by this and now I'm seeing them "fight back" by placing their own giant megaprims right up against the property as well, the lag seems to be getting even worse. Others are trying to leave and sell their land putting up all sorts of spinning for sale signs, etc. I can't say that I blame them really, their land's value (and at least some of mine) has probably been cut in half by the actions of this new landowner.
For over two weeks I have been filing abuse reports on the megaprims against the sim border and the prims that are encroaching Linden Labs land, I know that at least some of my neighbors have filed abuse reports as well.
Linden Labs has done absolutely nothing about it, it amazes me that they they don't even appear to care if people build right over their own Governor Linden owned land so while I do recommend continuing on your course and filing abuse reports, it has been my experience at least that nothing will probably come of them.

There are nearly none left!!! He has managed to intimidate nearly all of them into leaving. Except me. Well, I did leave but I still own THIS land. And one other women who I know is never home and I know he's been trying to contact her to no avail. EDIT: Just noticed you were referring to Gabby in that not me - but, it does also unfortunately have to do with me too  BTW, I just snuck in at work to see what was up and Caledric happened to be there (in wonderful Dragon form!) and he filed another AR for me, without me asking. He noticed the megaprim WAS on my land too. So, there's another one filed - 4 in 2 days (or is it 5? Did Sling do one too?) Like I said, anyone else feels like going out there and taking a peek and having some fun, feel free. I really could use as many AR's being filed as possible.

I have spoken with some of my neighbors which is how I knew that other people had filed reports as well. Really though, I have mostly moved onto other things because even if the prims are removed from the Linden Labs owned land and the megaprims are converted to something other than the megaprims, it won't change the fact that my beach will never be what it once was because the people that moved in do have every right to build on their land no matter how it affects their neighbors, and after all this is mainland so I knew that was a possibility. One of my neighbors got sick of it and decided to sell their land in the region I am in (Gyeongju), they offered it to me at a good price and I bought it so I'm dealing with the situation by moving my "play area" away from the beach and building a nice wooded area with a stream that is out of view of the ugliness. Actually, since buying this land has put me into the concierge level I have considered calling Linden Labs to report the lag inducing megaprims that way, but I can't find anything in the knowledge base that indicates if this is a legitimate use for concierge support or not. Thank you for your suggestion though Nina, it was a good one. |

Here's an odd thing: Just dropped by Elora's property for a look-see. The wall was actually two overlapping 50x50x1 megaprims, otherwise as described. After I'd been there a few minutes, the wall disappeared! And there was its owner, she of the first name with two syllables in all caps that are each the French word for no, hovering nearby. I didn't speak to her and she did nothing but hover for the several minutes I was there. I TP'ed out and then jumped back about 15 minutes later to see if she replaced it, and no sign of neighbor or wall. Not sure what is happening there (I'll drop by again periodically) but looks like your neighbor may be feeling a tad nervous.

I had a neighbor once that made a 30m tall stone wall. I put up megaprims with the invisible texture on the inside and poof. I had a universe all to my own due to object-object occlusion.
I set the prims "phantom" and "transparent" on the outside so it looked normal from the outside.
The only downside was that parts of the wall would flash back into existence at times.

Elora's neighbour is none too subtle. The land that the neighbour has on the three boundaries is made of separate parcels. The only parcel that has been ban-lined is the one along the northern boundary (the longest stretch). This is a clear indication the the purpose of the ban lines is to harrass, and not to provide any privacy/security for that empty parcel. It's worth trying a second AR noting that point mentioning the reference# of the first one. Make an audit trail. Show a record of harassing behaviour. Oh! Did I mention that the ban lines are visible up to 8 metres inside Elora's land? If there's a party there, please remember that "right up to the boundary" means "no closer than 8 metres". Thank yew!!  |

I had my AV's prims hanging over into his ban lines, one thing to note also is that the ban lines are only around his PERSONAL residence. The other parts of his land (including parts where the wall is) have no ban lines. I was actually ON his land looking into Elanor's when I made my AR against him, and I did it rather verbosely.

I flew from part of his land where the wall was not to the area of HER land where the wall stuck over and hit pretty much a wall of lag when I did so. The way the wall is set down isn't by chance either... except for one small portion his wall is PERFECTLY aligned to be right up against the property lines. He has one section that is purposely angled differently then all the rest so it sticks into her land, I suspect he also has a load of scripts stuck into it as well to help produce the lag. |

I think the Caledric really did the trick, because I think things changed immediately after he left LOL! Yes, he took the wall down. It doesn't solve everything yet - but the major situation is taken care of, because if I need to sell the land to someone else, at least I don't have to worry about THAT thing in the way. you can use concierge support for whatever support issues wish. in fact, you can even initiate concierge support for non concierge residents. concierge support is not limited to certain kinds of support. From: Gabby Handrick

I've been tempted to do that once or twice in the past. If you ever see a character named Caledric in a game, there is a 98% chance it is me. When new games come out, I log in and take the name on all servers, even if I'm not going to play the game.
