The only thing keeping me in Second Life is the people. I am tired of the crashing, login problems, TP problems, inventory problems and on, and on, and on!

Are there any really good social virtual worlds that aren't made for little kids and teenagers? Anything out there worth trying.

I don't want to level up to 70 and I don't want to find treasure chests and crawl around in dungeons. I want to socialize.

You know .. one of the reasons people say Second Life doesn't run nearly as well as WOW is the fact that a lot of Wow lives on your computer and isn't streamed.

Makes you wonder how successful a Social game would be that was designed like WoW where the same amount of content lived on your Computer (but modern and not PG of course).

Hmm, that would be what WoW becomes when you get to level 50 and spend all your time standing around auction houses, foraging for herbs and minerals, and making magical items to swap with each other :)

OpenLife is looking good, 138 sims, multiple AV's per account, they are nearly up to where we are now, with choices of scripting languages, 100m prims, fully meshable avatars, shadows all in the pipeline for release in their early viewers and only $75 per month tier for a sim, and $15 to purchase.
Just lacks people and stability.
