Since this forum is for questions I'll make this a "do I spend too much time in SL?" thread...

Last night I had a dream that there was a place in RL where people were building reconstructions of their SL homes! It seemed really cool at the time... and didn't strike me as the slightest bit odd at all until I woke up and thought about it.

I need to get out more......

Did they have spinning ad signs on little plots along the road? :D

Heh, that's nothing, one night i dreamed that i was buying shoes in RL, and after putting them on i found that some ass had put a totally unsexy walk in them and my AO was not working...

on an unrelated sidenote, i saw a girl in RL a few weeks ago who looked like ruth... poor girl...

but the real sign for spending too much time in SL is when you're windowshopping in RL, and at a shop selling wigs you think "mmmm flexi hairs..."

I still get frustrated with "regular" web pages every day when I cannot rotate around an object on the page to view the other side of it...

Now that I would be useful to have in RL, you wouldn't be worried about someone breaking in at night or when you are out. Could stop those bills coming through the door if you put them up when you see the postman coming.

Would prefer them in RL than in SL :D

Always. Not only that but I find myself thinking I should spin the camera around the corner in real life. Guess I'm nosey.

I also am constantly admiring "textures" everywhere I go.

I dozed off on the sofa one night and when I woke up, my partner was watching TV - some programme with a man and a dog on the screen.
Turning to him, I blearily asked, "which one are you?"
Time for a break!

I would not want them in neither places... not in SL, not in RL.

does a tv remote stuffed down the side count?
there is frequently no available surface to sit on

Ha! now *that* is RL. I equate with that. It makes me laugh when you see these tv ads with minimalist furniture, no everyday crud, no magazines/newpapers cascading onto the floor, childrens toys scattered about.
I need one of those whistle-thingummies for my remote .. in fact I need four of the blighters!!

I dont remember it... but I had a good laugh the next day

Could be worse, you could have said "Eject Him".

Not a dream, but I was sitting at a stop sign and a girl walked her bike in front of my truck, and I instantly recognized her as someone from SL. She looked exactly like that person's avatar, to the point where she could have modelled for the skin. It was uncanny. She even had the same hair. I caught myself before I called out to her.

I catch myself wanting to right click on people and check their profiles as well.

Signs you're really addicted or been playing a game to long are the following:
!. Your dream involve future of unreleased updated features in the game you play
And when they arrive you're not creeped out by the fact your dream came true.
2. Your nightmares involve dragging chair or object you're building, painting and it keeps sending itself back to its orginal state.
3. You notice lag and glitches in your first life resemble the one of your second life.
4. You count the prims in first life objects and designs to see if how many prims it would take to reduplicate it in SL.

Last night me and my wife were watching an old video tape of the MTV movie awards from May that we hadn't gotten a chance to look at until now.

One of the females in one of the stage acts was wearing this skimpy platex/leathery looking strappy bondagy looking thing with the stilletto heels, and wearing the short cropped black hair with bangs.

My wife says, "Isn't that one of the bondage outfits from SL?", and I replied, "Yeah! It is!"

Is this life imitating art or art imitating SL?

Since it was taped from May, could it have been SL imitating life?

Ooooh I HATE those dreams. Usually I'm wearing only a little cardigan sweater that does nothing to cover anything, and I'm frantically trying to find a dentist...

usually dream about ppl I meet in SL, latest one was about a linden I fairly recently chatted with for awhile one night, after the chat and finally crawling into bed, I fell right asleep and slipped right into the dream of being "in" SL and continued right on chatting to this specific linden
was weird cuz I was actually physically in SL sitting with them and chatting...

(if the specific linden reads this I am sure they will know who they are, cuz I have not actually voice chatted with anyone else that much, this was into the wee hours of the night and was very enjoyable)

I miss chatting with them :(

on a side note, non SL dream I have a lot is one where I have to go potty, really bad #1, and can not find a toilet.
I am usually in public, and find many restrooms but either the toilets are missing, or there are no stall walls/doors.

one I keep having is I am in a locker room, HUGE one, lockers and showers on one side, empty stalls on the other, no toilets in them, I have to go bad and am walking around this locker room picking up towels and clothes (very nice expensive clothes LOL) and yet unable to find a place to go
no one else around to ask where I can go...

strange

Ohhh I love little cardigans, especially Jacquard prints.
You think that's bad, I dreamt all my underwear was stolen, and wound up for sale on some second rate website......
