Alt personnas (Part 2)

I made one, Star Iwish, because I first wanted someone else to "dress" and buy hair for. Now I very rarely log her on, but she helps to keep my tier down because she's premium, too. I pretty much just let her do nothing but collect the premium bonus from SL and the stipend. She only has two friends on her list......me and my husband.

Of course I'll tell you what I do with all of those alts....

now if you'll just look into this shiny Neuralyzer...

I have 3.
My first account was born 2/23/07 but I didn't use the account back then more then few dozen times, I had no friends and I had generally pretty hard time doing anything.
Then prim tax came, SL went public and I left due to I was burned out already by TSO beta, was really sick and I just couldn't get into SL at the time.
I returned last year with this account, things went better wasn't able for longest time to reactivate original account.
Then when I wanted group land I made account that represents my rl boyfriend even though he doesn't play.
Finally I was able to reactivate my first account but I use this one more.

2 alts for the usual reasons.

One was my old "main" character before I got sick of the name and wanted one that sounded nice. I use her when I want to try radically different shapes and set ups- Capella is pretty set in 2 shapes (Normal Capella, and Kid Capella- similar face/skins- just one is a younger version.) and a single skin line so if I want extreme variety I go to that alt. The other is my male alt- it's always interesting to see things from a different perspective. I was also fun to dress him up just right- almost more fun than dressing my girls up. (I'm a girl, the concept of a docile guy willing to take my fashion advice is novel.)

1 Premium and 4 alts, 3 have different lives, the other 2 are just crashtest dummies very rarely used. Lighter inventories in alts make them move better for combat purposes

My RL agent has taken on an 'alt' recently as a test-bot for permissions etc. I don't envisage this alt ever achieving anything in SL.

But I'm just meee, a simple humanoid who never morphs into anything else - all I do is change clothes or hair style (sometimes loose, sometimes tied back). Very occasionally I put on my green plastic bear outfit - but it's still me inside.

I have one alt at present which is used to escape from the business me when I need a break

I have three accounts.

The first is lil' ol me, Bradley, that I use most of the time.

The second one is an alt that has been given all permissions and is used for building when I find that Bradley can't get work done because of too many IM's, etc. Only a few freinds know this one.

The third alt has no permissions. I use it to test anything I create to make sure the average person out there will have the experience I planned for. I have not told anyone this alts name nor do I intend to.

Occasionally I'll log in under one of my two alts when I just want quiet time alone to explore SL, but mostly they serve a business function.

Only one alt here, with my surname even Really a noob, with an entire empty inventory, and a basic account.
When I release something for sale, I send a few thousand linden towards this guy and send him on a shopping spree for my new items. This makes it very easy to find flaws in permissions, and testing out vendors for example.
And when poses need to be checked in furniture, my regular AV just turns into a pretty lil thing Change shape/skin/clothes, adapt my poseballs, change back. Since I dont build in a spot easily visited by innocent travelers, no one gets shocked by this shapeshift

I have three alts.

One I forgot password of, and never reset it.
One I use for testing stuff. but I hate him, because he looks better than me.
One I used for some machinima stuff, where i needed a group. (You haven't lived until you had a group meeting with yourself...)

Aww OK, here we go again:

Bilbo being the innocent if ignorant newbie when starting, was female (if you got to follow an ass around the place may as well be a nice one).

Changed to true gender when RL friends came in and hence developed my main 'today' character.

Alt #1 To continue my investigation of portraying a female cost the 9.95$ and made her premium. Both she and Bilbo as group get a good deal on annual subs and 1024 tier against resulting stipend!

Alt #2 In the spring I decided I wanted another and found a great name. This however didn't generate the confirmation email.

Alt #3 Disappointed I created another. My complaint to LL however found accommodating ears which activated Alt #2

#2 and #3 hardly get a look in these days though strange as it may seem, are quite different characters despite not deliberately role playing.

I have one main, premium account, and basic (paid for) alt.

My alt is slowly having my business migrated to it, so my main account can be for just me. My inventory can be just my stuff. It will just make my business so much easier to run, and hopefully give me some more privacy.

Chances are I will continue to develop from my main account, but will transfer creator to my alt (by attaching an extra prim which my alt will create).

It will also have the added bonus that the only money going into my alt (with the exception of some initial funds) will be money that I'm making, and all business costs will be charged to my alt.

The alt is also useful for testing and things.

Two Alts, Rebus n00b permissions tester and covert island spy, although a few good friends know who he is. Shyde, sassy female blond who I leave on Orientation Island to help out newbies, however she spends most of her time telling guys they can get as much sex as they like on the mainland, but not from her LOL

Despite all the slanderous rumors to the contrary being propogated on this site, I have NO alts. One of me is all I can handle.

Me, and 2 alts.

Me, Elora is basically an extension of my RL self to a large degree.

Alt 1, was initially created because when I created Elora, there was a name I wanted which meant a lot to me for personal reasons, and I wanted her to be a furry. And I messed it up the first time I registered. And then I couldn't find a last name I liked with it. So I went with Elora instead and forgot about the furry thing.

But then a couple of months later, the last names changes and I went back again and found a surname that sounded good for that first name. That furry alt has evolved over time, to become more of my role play personna. I split my time between the two pretty evenly, maybe a bit more with the alt but now that I purchased land, Elora has been in more frequently.

Alt 2, I created because I've gotten too many friends now and find I sometimes need a bit of peace to come in just to shop! I need to be able to find things for my main alt, for my new home and I kept getting sidetracked by being social. So - Alt. 2 will be traveling completely incognito forever, with no money to spend other than what she needed to set her up to effectively move through the world.

I had to get away from my main for emotional reasons and created Lexxi. Relatively recently I have been able to spend a little more time being Sonia in world (main). When I started going the wrong direction with Lexxi, I created Zahrah to explore what Lexxi had originally been created to explore, but then Lexxi got back on track and Zahrah is almost never used now (ironically, in the first few days in world, Zahrah went the completely opposite direction intended). Sid was created to see the male point of view in SL.

So that is 4 accounts.

It is true that I have never actually meet Sonia Nagy, but I had thought she was my main. I might be wrong.

Um . . . it is tragic when alts lose track of their mains. um . . . meow?

2 alts here. One is the male, just for kicks. He's weird so I never use him. The other alt is for my group, testing, and privacy when I just can't handle a ton of IMs. Even she pretty much does nothing 95% of the time. Sometimes I use her for traffic at the shop, to see if higher traffic results in higher sales (the answer: not really, sales are steady whether she's been logged in for hours or not.)
