What do you do for your Rez Day?

Um, same thing I do for my RL 'rez day' LOL Nada. LOL I'm not gonna be any help here.....it's not a big deal to me. But.....I have hosted parties for people who wanted to throw a rez day party.......something I am always happy to do since I have a lot of land and I just put up a cool new beach house.
I'm not one who likes to be the center of attention....but I do have a lot of fun doing stuff for others... so if ya want your party at a beach house lol look me up. I'll hook ya up.

I didn't have a party, but I recieved some very nice messages from people close to me that made my Rez-day a bright and warm one.

My 1st rezday isn't until August. My partner's in July. Most likely I'll spend mine with him. We'll do the silly-fun romantic mooshie things we always do. This does have me thinking though about getting a big party together for him. My luck, I'll get it all together and he won't rez for whatever reason that day. LOL

@ Yousif, yes, fair weathered friends I have..at best...Me and my partner are loners..not by choice...just can't seem to find people who define friendship the way we do.

And you wrote some lovely words, and will make some lady very, very happy someday My partner is very good to me, not just on my rez day, but every day. He celebrates me as I celebrate him. His rezday is coming up. I should take some notes from your plans...

Oh, I have another plan but I can't find a large plastic drop cloth nor babyoil in SL. The whipped cream I have and i know where to get a chicken. Let me know if your interested

hmm, i had a free bar. i was also the dj, made the decorations, sent out the notices, laid the red carpet and fed the hamsters.

maybe i was too generous....

I did nothing for my rez day.

But I am throwing a big rez day party for a good friend of mine.

I would hope that some friends that might throw me a surprise party or something. I don't seem to be successful at throwing parties myself. My first Rez-Day is a long way off anyway.

So, is my Rez-Day my first day in SL or my first premium day?

it's the anniversary of your first day in SL, the day you were 'born'.

I made a party invitation and sent it out via a group notice. I put up a 30 m banner that said Happy Birthday Bubba across the top floors of my shops and put out one of those freebie birthday cakes that gives anyone a free piece of cake and lets you blow out the candles near the landing point. I gave out Happy Birthday T-shirts and other little favors to anyone who came by and bored them to tears with stories about the "good old days". I left the whole thing up for a week and had some fun with it as long as I could.

I've got to say I've never understood the whole "Rez Day" thing.

Ok, I know everyone can do what they want and if the day you first gave your anonymous hotmail email address and fake name to LL was a big deal for you then I guess you should celebrate it.

Although I'm thinking if you celebrate opening an account with LL, then you must have a very hectic life..

What with celebrating

Your "B Day".. that being the day you first opened your bank account.

Your "V Day".. the day you first opened your Visa account.

Your "D Day".. the day you passed your driving test.

Your "S Day".. the day you first logged into your Skype Account.

Also.. what about your alts.. do they get "Rezz Day" celebrations too?

If you have to ask, I'll bet you lots of Lindens you won't be involved with SL by the time your rez day rolls around.

For me, it shows my commitment to something that is far from perfect, but still an astounding, possibly revolutionary, thing.

I'm proud that in just two years, I've made great friends around the globe, created successful businesses, learned how to build houses, post-modern furniture, a "donut roller coaster," virtual clothing, a new SL "sport" and a unique art form. Plus, I've weathered 06-06-06, tier increases, ad farms, inventory losses, script borks, various bots and a deeply broken heart, yet I'M STILL HERE. Maybe Sondheim could write a verse for me?

why not..? throwing a party in SL is cheap and usually fun. and easy to clear up afterwards! any excuse for a party...

Plus you can do it with less notice than real life and still get plenty of people!

Mmmm.. is this how those parties go..

Lots of avatars standing around saying "Woot" now and again.. their little malformed pixel hands awkwardly dangling little pixel glasses and pieces of pixel cake..

And across the electronic ether, solitary and lonely people sitting in darkened rooms, their pale pudgy faces glistening in the half light given off by their PC screens.. lifting grubby glasses of cheap plonk to their RL lips in conscious synchronisity with the badly written AO controlling their avatar's drinking arm...?

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

I recently celebrated my av's 4th rezday, I had a party with friends, they put up some pics of me when I was a noob and there was trivia and such... I DJed..it was a laugh.

I might do a party for my second rez day in Sept.
