The reasons and rules don't matter. Including your own personality in this character is usually unavoidable and any attempt to avoid it can lead the role to appear dull and plastic. True role play is achieved when you reach the point where people simply accept your character at face value regardless of your true nature... often to the point of shock and disbelief when your true nature is revealed or at any moments when you break character. <character> (^_^)y |

It is just me as far as the personality goes. I am an honest, trusting person in RL so it flowed into SL. I build in RL so I like to umm try in SL lol. I am blonde and blue eyed and short in RL so that is how I am in SL. I can have a temper and yes that has come into SL a few times. I am hesitant meeting new people but again that is me in RL. But I have noticed lately that I am more outgoing in RL so that is a plus. Oh oh oh and yes I am a ditz sometimes in RL so yuppers that carries into SL, but in SL they are called oops hehe. And yes in RL I do say Oh Oh Oh so again in SL. There are many things that I love about SL well besides being with my honey  I can explore on a cold rainy or snowy day. I can build without having to wait for glue or paint to dry. I get to meet people from all over the world. Ok back to work Bec |

When I came into SL I thought great, I can be all the things that I'm not in real life - smart, witty, sexy, etc, etc. I can charm the birds from the trees, run around in skimpy clothes and thigh-high boots, and drop my clothes at the touch of a button. However, that didn't last long as I couldn't keep it up!! Now I am just me.
Interestingly, I have two alts, and no matter how hard I try and despite shopping in different places, etc, we all end up looking almost exactly the same.
As for RP, I can't keep that up at all. Many moons ago, I ended up in a rather unsavoury place - naked AV's having sex all over the place, you know what I mean. In the middle was a dance pole surrounded by a ring of seats, so I thought, what the hell, climbed on and started dancing. Instantly I had IM's from two guys, obviously wanting more than dancing. I played along (well, I did start it), but it was really difficult, and I spent the whole time sitting thinking "oh my god, oh my god!!" They didn't seem to notice, though, and seemed quite happy as I stripped off to my underpants and brought them to fulfillment (which actually didn't take very long, but I was bored after the first 2 minutes - how many times can you say "oooh baby"! One of them even paid me L$3000 for the privilage - not bad for a nights work!!

i voted it depends on where i am, as most places i do business with require it. other than that, its me, bad jokes and all. i just have my high school build and better clothes
