The only comment I saw there was a system comment telling the blogger how to delete comments. I didn't see one relevant to the subject.

All joking aside, I can understand Immy and Mari getting put on the seat here, it's happened before and will most likely happen again, but I can't figure out why Lil was brought up. Where has she evr indicated that she is in any way a proponent or a sympathizer? Even Lias would be hard pressed to connect her to that.

The blog was posted on Nov 13. I went back thru my posts for a week prior and there was a Child Avatars thread that started on Nov 11 (/327/07/350154/1.html) that was finally locked on the 16th, but none of my comments on the 12th or 13th were very inflammatory. I've been reviewing other posts in the weeks before, but even when I call someone an idiot, I'm not usually too confrontational here.

And in searching for posts from Abby Callisto (another name on the list), there is not much there either, with their most recent post being 9/21.

it looks like it was blogged on the 13th..we should hunt down those kinds of threads around that time..i bet it wouldn't be too hard to figure it out

Abby is a very active member of Concierge Info group in-world, she is well like by all of us adult avies. I can''t imagine anyone from there being responsible. As far as i'm aware she doesn't post much on any of these forums.

You have to find the link between the 5 avies mentioned, you'll have a better chance pinpointing the culprit.

I can think of 2 or 3 participants from the Zindra threads (both here & XStreet) as being likely candidates.....but why would they quote (or even know) Abby's name.

Might be someone of the fringes or connected with Kids groups (in-world) maybe.

The link between the 5 avatars mentioned is clear; they have a common enemy who decided to victimize them.

Whether he or she holds a grudge against them because of the same in-world incident or thread here, though, is a completely separate question. Something involving one or more of them presumably have got the culprit brooding over his or her various grievances, real or imagined, against particular child avatars and thought, "I'll get back at the lot of them in one go."

Abby may have been included because she'd banned the culprit from her land over some incident in world, as may one or more of the others on separate occasions. Equally, one or more of the others were possibly targeted because of something said here, and someone else upset the culprit in a completely different forum.

To my mind, though, the assumption that the the avatars involved incurred the culprit's enmity on the same occasion may well be misleading. Not necessarily, of course, but it's not an assumption upon which I would rely.

I don't see why a libel action would not only be possible but necessary in this case. There are real lives attached to those accounts and it wouldn't be extraordinarily difficult for the authorities or, worse, some twisted paedo-basher, to find out who they are if they saw fit to pursue the matter.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong but life could get very difficult for the people in question.

Actually its a pretty rotten trick even for me . I agree its bad and the website is pretty low (cheap ass looking thing it was- I saw the proxy link earlier but didnt have time to comment). Yes I dont like kids avs but like ive said its all in context. just stay outa my adult areas and its fine. But lets not fight now about that subject, its a dead horse really. the subject at hand is who did what.

I don't see it as necessary at all. The defamation was brief and is all but nigh untraceable now. It was obviously done by a coward with no credibility and none afforded by the few that saw the defamation. Bringing a defamation suit would only give the defamation previously unreceived notoriety and perhaps even, in the eyes of some, credibility, whereas the gutless offending party is likely so deficient in their financial accomplishments to make such a pursuit worthwhile. One of the most esteemed litigators in the United States once counseled one of his clients that was more than willing to proceed on a defamation case regardless of legal fees, "to think of the insult as if he had mud splashed on his suit. If you try to clean it away while it is fresh, you will just streak your clothes and the stain will be with you forever. But if you do nothing and wait until the mud dries, you could flick it off and it would leave no mark."

Nice analogy. The short term issue is anyone can smear that mud on your suit if they get close enough.

I think it is a mistake to assume there is a link between the 5 victims and the culprit.

I think some of those victims names are there just to be there while a couple are really the intended targets.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lil's name was the only thing the person latched onto.

I think this likely too. Mari and Immy because they're child avatars. The rest probably just to be random. And have a good snicker at people trying to connect non-existent dots once the blog is found.
