I understood the post, no need to shout. ;)

Someone can see you while you are inside your home, if they cam inside. So it would not be ARable and not a reason to force anyone to move to Zindra. Not as things currently stand, at least.

You're assuming if someone ARs it, right or wrong, a move to Zindra will follow, regardless. It isn't so.

Sorry, really wasn't tryin to yell *winks* I'm not saying a move to Zindra will happen regardless. I think more so, that if you want absolute freedom to do what you want on your land, with out having to worry about AR's and all that, where before Mature land was enough, Adult land would be a better choice. Be it commercial, private or whatever you call it, at the rate things are progressing, Adult land is the place to be. Zindra or Private Estate, between the witch hunts, and the mis-informed, That is the ONLY place you can be free to do whatever you wish...cept those couple things that are against the TOS.

Actually, I think we'll have a better chance of winning the lottery than figuring out the information from the Lindens.

Curious about the Emerald Viewer and all the features?

What makes you think you are safe from people filing spurious ARs on Zindra? The same shoot first, ask questions later policy will apply there too. You said it yourself, if you cannot rely on correct policy being enforced, that means anywhere - not just mature land.

exellent thread this is getting, Im glad not only one, who didnt know all this stuff happpened overnight, unfortunetly i still cant re activate my account on hold.

this is the Email i had back, but the link dont work :(

After expiration, we'll put your account into hibernation for 60 days.
We'll hold on to all of your in-world stuff for awhile, so if you
reactivate within 30 days, everything will be pretty much where you left
it. We'll keep your inventory and avatar a bit longer, so if you return
within 60 days you'll still be you! If you want to reactivate your account
during the 60 day period, you can do so at any time just by visiting
https://secondlife.com/account. However, there will be a reactivation
charge based on your original account type.

https://secondlife.com/account throws up 404 error

So I took out the s in Http://secondlife.com/account that throws up 404 error also.

So now I cant find anywhere on my account to re activate my account....I got 28 days to find out where to go.???

So no more sexbeds in private homes?

Or do you mean COMMERCIAL adult content?

.

In your private home is fine if your home is in a MATURE sim. They are not, however, allowed in any PG sims, no matter how private the building is, with no exceptions whatever. A PG private island estate? Still not allowed under any circumstances. This applies regardless of whether the property is being advertised as having such available or not.

secondlife.com/account/ should redirect to something like secure-web2.secondlife.com/account/. It does for me.

Hey, Since getting some advice from Coretx, and a second life mentor, Managed to see that payment information is in fact in my profile. Returning to second life, i ticked show all content, and now, i have no problem acccessing previosly banned areas.

It took me almost a month into the life of this new avatar to get adult verification to process. It kept saying it was done, and I'd zone to estates with adult-verified check and slam into ban lines...

Bugs like that are one of a couple reason I suspect as to why Zindra only requires either verify or payment info.

This is all so confusing

I have payment info listed, and I went through the Age Verification crap on the SL website.

But, last night, I was shopping for furniture and stuff (not sex beds, just living room furniture, fireplaces, etc.). While clicking through listings, I would occasionally come upon one that I could not teleport too -- something about privacy settings -- a screen that I haven't seen until very recently. This even happened when I wanted to go check out a potential cabin rental.

And what is "Aristotle" age verification? I see nothing called Aristotle on the website. There is a 'beta' age verification form.

you need to check your preferences and make sure you have the adult box checked

Put in a support ticket. I am assuming the account you are trying to reactivate is not this one, because you are here on the forums, so put in a ticket in this name for the other account. If this won't work, put in a "special" ticket - I think there's one for being unable to log in.

Aristotle is the "Age Verification crap on the SL website" :D Aristotle is the name of the company who run the scheme.

As well as age verifying or having payment info on file, there are a couple of settings you need to change in search and in your preferences. Can't remember exactly what they are, but I think somebody posted them further up the thread.

The "inappropriate content" categories for AR's are for "...on Mature land" and "...on PG land". If the land is actually adult, they should ignore the AR, unless it's actually describing a *banned* activity (like ageplay).

Having said they *should* do that, the Governance Team is known for random enforcement.

(It does not actually prove you are an adult when you use the verification methods. Proving identity online is a *hard* problem. We know that, Linden Lab knows that, and their third party verification service, Aristotle, knows that. It's sufficient to cover their ass legally though.)

You cannot take anything for granted nor assume you are safe from ARs whether on Mature land or Adult land. You *should* be safe indulging in things like private orgies behind closed doors on Mature just as you *should* be fine engaging in whatever adult activities you like on Adult land but there are no guarantees that you can rely on for Adult land that you cannot rely on for Mature.
That is my point which is contrary to what Brieanne seems to be stating.

Ok, just to clear up the confusion... read what i said. If someone sees you and files an AR. I didn't say it was against the rules. I didn't say it was policy. i said IF SOMEONE SEES YOU AND FILES AN AR. Gteam is KNOWN for action first, question later.

The way I hear it, it's action first, question never.
