Oh come on! Yoda is "the" light, the one in white...

The wise man with all the knowledge. He's got the weight of the worlds on his small green shoulders.

I think in order to show no favoritism to any one type of avatar or genre of RP that the CEO's avatar should be a hovering, glowing ball.
...of course then people will click him incessantly and wonder why the dance animation didn't start.

Or why his Xcite prim is talking to you? :)

I like this one, and Isablan's suggestion of multiple avatars for multiple situations.

I'm sorry I play Toontown, so the first thing I thought of was *THE* CEO:

Haha! I was thinking more along the lines of a giant, all seeing eye - this would have conotations of the time before there was avatar mesh as we know it now.

I like this. This is kinda what Torley has going on isn't it?

I think he should be an ever changing series of unique avatars that reflects SL - from corporate businessman when required to various non-human avatars when interacting with residents. His avatar should reflect the moment and who he is working with at the time.

This being the grid, the standard CEO three piece suit and power tie just doesn't communicate... at least not to me. Or rather, it communicates something offputting, like "bank scammer" or "pretend stock market" or "fifteen year old playing grown-up." No easy answer, there.

Quoted for truth :D

I think a good avatar would be 1) something that communicates what area of SL you do business in 2) is recognizable and memorable 3) is fun.

Myself, I made my avatar really crazy with a bold color scheme of yellow, purple, and black before i got involved in srs bsns. Just made it for fun. However, because it is so recognizable, it could be a plus. I've also branded a lot of my boxes and signs with the same color scheme.

For you, I'd suggest maybe some sort of steampunk plumber getup :D

I think LL has some rules about Linden Avatars, given i notice some common peculiarities about every Linden I meet.

- They usually have very basic skin/clothes.
- They never have AOs

It got me to thinking, You would probably want to present yourself as someone approachable, and not make even the newest, most inexperienced player feel they were in no position to approach you for help/advice/suggestions/etc.

So I think in an ideal sense, the CEO should embody the qualities of the business they run and the image they want to project. For SL, I think accessible, creative, empowering, and maybe a little bit playful while always remaining approachable.

Given that context, I think a spiky haired noob with a codpiece or a plate of donuts sounds fine. :)
