Actually, if you take the question seriously, it's an interesting one. The CEO represents LL in-world. For most of the Lindens, it looks like it's pretty much anything goes, although I've never seen one too outrageous or overlysexualized. But for M, he ought to present the image that he wants people to associate with LL. I would think business casual would work. No suit and tie, obviously. Khaki's, decent shirt, nice shoes, etc. He should get a good skin and hair as well. It's not like it takes a lot of work to make an avatar look good. You have some, like Ann, for example, who really go above and beyond, but a good skin, a couple hairs, and a few wardrobe folders and M will be out about an hour of his time and $10.00US. There's no excuse to look like he just stepped off of OI.

I'm still split on if I should toss him or Teagan my shape an' skin. (^_^)y Teagan is, like, two steps away from kid hood. ![]() _____________________

CEO AVs should match the comany or style of the person
07-10-2008 09:40
I say lose the stereotypes and let SL creativity flow.
Who cares what the company CEO looks like as long as they get their points across. If its an AV that some how relates to the company itself, more power to them. If they can hold a professional meeting looking flat out ridiculous, well that just shows they are very open-minded and not your typical business person. Let's see what business people come up with as AVs for SL, because SL is not your typical conference room. ![]() |

But the question, though asked lightly, is a serious one. _____________________

Khaki's, decent shirt, nice shoes, etc. He should get a good skin and hair as well. boring. my VERY SERIOUS answer to Desmond - he needs to be cutting edge if he wants to reflect the SL of the future. he should be cool, yet sophisticated, yet completely and utterly in touch with his SL clientelle. he needs to be dark and cool, and smooth. he needs to be Gerard Butler in a grunge outfit! and i expect to see those silver bracelets. GB is cool and hot! *swoon* but i digress.... in my mind, M Linden is expected to be cool and hot both at the same time. edit: not a CEO who is secretly a bad boy, but instead... a bad boy who is secretly a CEO. _____________________

A seven foot muscled guy with a deep tan and blonde hair. Bling teeth when he spontaneously smiles. Tats and a tank top with tight jeans and crotch bulge. He must be PERFECT. He will need a custom made diamond encrusted M dangling from a sculpty gold chain around his kneck.
Get Robin to go into appearance and make her hips wider. She can wear some hoochie mama hair and stillettos. They can make appearances in the welcome areas and in clubs on the grid. They would pull up in a stretch white Hummer, throw out a few no transfer freebies and speed away. They have to appeal to their audience. . . _____________________

Whatever would give him an ARC of 1. God forbid the CEO should cause rendering lag for the residents.

Looking at Marianne's link, M doesn't look like a noob any more - perhaps that impression is outdated. But the question, though asked lightly, is a serious one. I agree, the look in the image is at least a thousand times better than the cod piece of eye blinding, spiked newb hair and umm general dress of Phil. Who knows, M might actually have more than one outfit! _____________________

Uhm...keeping it off-beat to represent the unlimited possibilities of SL, yet something that seems to be recognized as a symbol of wisdom...
How about an owl on a walking bird perch? Pair of spec's on the owl... Couple of nice robotic legs on the perch... Just a thought. I'm certain there's much more a talented scripter / builder could dream up. _____________________

Hmm. On the other hand, a hedgehog is a very pragmatic creature capable of survival under fairly extreme conditions - certainly not the worst choice for an avatar! As much as I'd love to see it, I'm not sure a tiny is the way he should go. Maybe Daryth can make him up a full-sized hedgie... And the obligatory: I for one welcome our pragmatic hedgehog extremist overlords /me smiles at her new minions. How about when they're transformed into some kind of little bear and hopping on people's heads while they're being transported away and don't have time to respond? Slow neko! Think I was a panda from Wynx last night, though I usually shout "rare Chinese mountain forest hedgehog!" any time somebody calls me a panda.. _____________________

![]() But I like Lindal's idea better. It's a nod and a wink to the more "rebellious" of users. _____________________

Agent Smith maybe?
Seriously, there's a good chance he'll morph some more, I doubt Phillips AV started like that. ![]() _____________________
