Stupid linden gay lesbian friend using Emeralds 2nd attachment points

Is anyone using the Emerald attachment points for the placing of regular attachments you would wear on yourself? Or are you finding other less visible but interesting uses for the new set of attachment points in Emerald?

I use the second hand attach points for my rings. It lets me grab stuff like my gun, or a drink, without having them flee into inventory.

Of course, people not using Emerald see my rings in unusual places, usually a few feet away from me. That's OK...they look fine to me, and the "misplaced" rings make a good lead in for telling people about Emerald.

Some people using Emerald see the rings in unusual places as well.

i am just using the older points..it sounded neat at first but then i figure i may get spoiled using them and hate it if they ever went away for some reason hehehe
that and i just don't want stuff all over the place around me because i use other viewers too..

All I can say is.. Do not use the extra attachment points for essential equipment if you work as a stripper.

Under the list of the first attachments. At the bottom of the list it picks up again. Right click an item, Attach > Big-list-of-attachment-points.

I shifted my face light to a second attach point, since it is transparent anyway. I have a planner for event reminders that I was wearing as a HUD, but I really prefer it not to be a HUD. When worn, I usually had it transparent, so now I have attached it to a second point also.

Seeing people's attachments *ahem* floating in the air several meters away was enough to deter me from using this option.

Too bad. As long as I look good to me, they can go whistle.

I don't use the second attachment points because I'm informed that people using the regular LL viewer see the second attachments in funny places.

I started a thread about prim nipples detaching themselves from jiggling breasts as seen by Emerald users, and that led to a heated discussion. The second attachment points are a similar scenario, except the other way round.

I don't currently user Emerald viewer but I would think that regardless of how people not using the Emerald viewer see second attachments that they would be useful for transparent functional attachments such as chimeras and other animation huds and mysti implant etc.

You can almost create pets because of the way those attachments don't move with your avatar.

Also, we may still have them now, but it was 10 months ago that Linden decided the extra attachment points would be going away. Possibly because they cause a security issue with normal viewers -- they can't tell that they're being worn, and the only way to detach them is being able to see and right-click them. Even Detach All doesn't work. So if you're using a normal viewer, you might be wearaing an invisible megaprim chat bug right now and you wouldn't be able to tell.

That's backwards. We need more attachment points. Someone has come up with a common set of attachment points that everyone can use. It doesn't even require a recompile. Why not just adopt the updated XML?

I guess it's true that it wouldn't take much effort to take the plunge, but there are a couple of other things to do... I dunno if it's even used that much, but next people would probably ask why LSL didn't support them...

Can someone explain why after all these years, that LL could never give us more attachment points, but Emerald can?

Ever since I joined SL, people have been complaining about not enough attachment points, and LL did nothing. Then Emerald comes along and just adds them in without any problem????

I think that emerald is a great viewer but it really lags me. So i went back to the SL viewer.

LSL didn't properly support left and right pec until less than a month ago.
