Just create a "Camping group" and invite real avatars that want to earn some camping money to join it. Deed the camping equipment (ones that work in Group mode) to that group.....bingo! Bots are null and void and can't steal those camping spots even if they tried. I have 3 camping spots like that, 1 in each different land location with 15 real avatars belonging to that group that share those 3 spots....it works well. When someone has finished camping, they announce it in Group chat....and one of the other avatars will come along and take that spot. Why is everything so complex? PS Before someone takes a swipe at me that i'm gaming traffic, i can assure you having 1 camper on a business plot doesn't really help me much in Places search...i'm still deeply buried on any given popular keyword. I have 2 Guitarists and 1 Chinese Noodles vendor...i think it adds to overall ambiance of the land and not give it a cold "just another shop" feeling! Also i'm glad to help a bunch of avatars....i know they use the money to buy things in SL, so that money is being recycled back into the economy. If traffic were to be removed from Search.......I'd still carry on having these 3 spots.

From: Sedgemoor Amat I'm sick of all these 'No Entry' grid lines. The thing I like most about Second Life is exploring. Enjoying the amazing work other people have created. What's the point of blocking anyone? It's not the Real World after all. We should have a right to freedom to roam. I pay for my land parcels and don't think I should have to have 'you' there if I don't want to. When you start sending me Lindens to help pay my tier then you may have some 'rights' but until then, stay 'out my bizness'. ' Not only that (this whole thing is off topic but a pet peeve, so, since you brought it up....) when these noob strangers do show up unannounced and uninvited, on your land, they also expect you to be glad to see them and be just as eager to talk as they are. *How do I do this? How do I do that? How come I can't rez my new plane here? (Ha, keep tryin) Never a concern that you 'might' have been busy doing something else before they arrived to grace you with their presence, maybe just IMing with 'your' friends, or just trying to have your own SL experience which doesn't include them....... Have respect for someone else, people have put out ban lines for a reason, they want to experience 'their' SL 'their' way, not 'your' way. OK???

So if someone comes around and they are bothering you (or you just aren't capable of being civil to them) THEN ban the the individual, not then entire population of SL. As you yourself said... Have respect for someone else, people that don't want to look at your uglyassed ban lines.

If people hadn't been rude in the first place, 'all those ban lines' (not just mine) wouldn't be there, would be no need for them. But yeah, and I DO ban the person if they become enough of a nuisance. I don't personally have ban lines. I use a security orb occasionally. But I do understand why people put ban lines up.
