From: Rhaorth Antonelli Rhaorth_Antonelli: Hi Rika, I am having problems rezzing items, any idea if there are other reported problems? Rhaorth_Antonelli: There is also a thread in the forums where others are saying they are having the same problem, some of them are basic account holders so not able to use live chat to let someone know Rika: Yes, we're aware of this problem and are working to fix this at this time. Thank you for notifying us and we will keep you posted on the blog soon.
there ya go, they are aware of it Excellent! Maybe I won't need to go round the store taking new copies of everything

From: Phil Deakins I would point them to this thread, but no operators are available right now. Maybe Raudf pointed them here.
With no operators available, it could be that they are being inundated with reports of it. I did, Phil, I did! And yeah, I'm pretty sure they're swamped now. Edit: I'm not working on a single thing until this is fixed. Actually, I can't, given that I was wanting to rez a hat to tweak it for a new dress.... >.<

From: Blog update [Update 2:36p PDT] - We believe we have found the cause of this issue and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. Please be aware that along with some people experiencing an issue with rezzing items, there may be some who cannot properly attach items either. We will continue to update this blog as information becomes available.
We are experiencing difficulties with the ability to rez items at this time. We will keep you posted as to when this problem is resolved. Logging may be the best policy right now, if you have to build. .

older (begin 2007 and older) objects don't rez
10-07-2008 15:20
http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3197a larger group of people confirm they can't rez objects older then begin 2007 (for instance objects made in february 2007). it might be related to the post of a FJ Linden (this guy from AOL?) who said in his initial posting: http://blog.secondlife.com/2008/09/12/frank-ambrose-updates-on-the-second-life-grid/- Asset collection. We're collecting many assets that are on our storage clusters, but are rarely (if ever) accessed. These assets take up critical space on the clusters and potentially degrade performance and stability as we hit volume thresholds. We'll be moving these files to different storage mechanisms and, while they will still be easily accessible, it will help us to avoid pushing the limits of our existing storage clusters, while still preserving all existing assets in a reliable storage environment. can we get our ancient objects back? or can we get a description on the 'easy access' method mentioned in here? thanks, tx Oh http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3197

tx, thank you, but somehow, I don't think this is related. You see, many of the objects that I couldn't rez, I created a month ago. Or less.
I'm throwing in the towel and calling it a day. I had hoped to finish this project today, but it isn't going to happen.

From: Phil Deakins There's an update in the status report - they've discovered that attaching items also doesn't work. They should have asked us Yeah, I told them that when I contacted them too. I was trying to get the hat to work one way or another, but apparently, it's more stubborn than me!

From: Crystal Falcon how do you bend the spoon if the spoon doesn't rez? You don't, instead you say, "There is no spoon."

object missing from database... it's been what now, 2 years this has been going on? It's the main reason I gave up SL and moved to Open Life grid.

Just not rezzing. If it were missing, it'd affect pretty much all copies and my alt can rez the same item with no problem. There is also no error message.

I bought a guitar yesterday, cant wear it, cant rezz it on the ground. I have cleared cache, relogged.. still no luck. Creator not inworld, though I have sent a notecard asking for assistance...
the status report tells us to
"please file a support ticket with the time of the failure (in PDT, please), the region name and asset UUID that failed to rez so the information may be passed on to the developers."
as I am unable to wear or rezz the item, how do i find the UUID?
Am I wrong or is this option only active when the object is rezzed or worn?
Thanks for any help

imogen From inventory, right button click and go to Copy UUID. That will allow you to past (paste!) the UUID of the item to a notecard or note pad. At least they haven't marked the farking thing "Resolved" yet. Edit: Because it's not for me. Still can't rez any of the things I couldn't rez yesterday. I'm NOT happy as some of this is past stock!

For those who are doing the support tickets... You're screwed in filing them.
All of my "missing items" UUIDs come up as 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000
Looks like Pratyeka is right.
