I've found that I cannot rez many objects from my inventory, and yet I can rez others. There doesn't seem to be a pattern though. E.g. I can rez one object that I made and own, but I can't rez another object that I made and own. I discovered it when I replaced something for a customer - neither of us could rez that particular object. I've tried quite a few objects from my inv, and I can't rez most of the ones I've tried.
Anyone else finding this?

Having trouble with a castle I just purchased, not sure if it's the castle that's at fault yet as I haven't contacted the creator.

Try rezzing a few miscellaneous objects, Ciaran.
I reported it via live chat a while ago.

I've seen it too. I didn't test a lot of things, but it did seem to be position-dependent. I couldn't rez a cushion in my build box (around 700m), but then went to the ground and could rez it. I had it happen with something I had JUST made too. It simply refused to rez, without comment from SL, showing the "lock" icon, as if it were a permissions problem.

"Take copy" on a rezzed copy (it has to be rezzed, not in inventory on a wall prim for instance) and that should work fine. A silent rez failure is usually a "missing from database". In some cases it will affect all unrezzed instances of that object (so your unrezzed copies and every copy of it that customers' might have in their inventory) in which case you need to open a ticket (although they tend to come back on their own if it's a major glitch like that). (You might want to read through: /327/78/259387/1.html) --- PS: And of course try rezzing it on different sims first of all .

I don't get the lock icon. I get the usual 'ok' one. Also I don't get an any error messages. To all intents and purposes the items have rezzed, but they are not there.

From: Phil Deakins Also I don't get an any error messages. Try wearing it instead and you should get an error message. It'll likely be: "Unable to create requested object. Object is missing from database." or "Attempt to rez an object failed." (Edited to add that it can take a few minutes to show for an attachment)

I tried that with one item and it worked. Now I have to go round the whole store and get fresh copies of everything, dammit.

I just had this happen to, with a product a customer was asking about. None of the items in my "packages" folder of products want to rez. The same items that ended up in my Lost and Found folder also don't want to rez, although other items in there do. My hair changed, and a shoulder pet rezzed, as well as my eye glints. Some items given to me last night do too. Makes no difference for me if in skybox or on ground. Some of the working items are two years old, some new... I cleared my cache and just returned to find no change.. There is a status blog entry from 12 hours ago saying there was a database problem "resolved", so I'm guessing that's it? I'm just glad to hear I'm not the only one! That's a bit of a relief at least...

In the case of the cushion and the linked object I made, that was not the problem. The same cushion rezzed fine on the ground in the same parcel (I interpreted this as meaning that the glitch was intermittent, not that it was height-related), and I shrugged and remade the linked object, since I had been meaning to change it anyway. .

I can't seem to rez anything from my inventory either. I'm getting the 'silent fail' also, but I can create new prims. Sounds like the asset server is melting again?
I had no problems with this an hour ago... Gah.

I can create new prims too. It was this first thing I tried.
Perhaps it would be good for those who are finding the problem to report it. I reported it, but I'm only one voice and they no doubt need a number of reports to get the idea that something is up. They probably have multiple reports by now, but you never know.

I tried to report it via the Live Chat.. but apparently all the In World team is in a meeting for 15 minutes.
I can also verify that clearing the cache does nadda. I've run a search on an item to see if it makes the inventory go, "Ooooh, there is it!" But I don't have high hopes for it.

No mention of it on the Support blog as yet. You might try pointing them to this thread, Phil ... as a Basic account, I have no way to report a problem such as this. .

/me has no way of letting them know either since they shut down any way of letting them know when their service isn't working, LOL /me relies on the kindness of others... These are the things they never showed in the Matrix, how do you bend the spoon if the spoon doesn't rez?

I'm chittering with one now. Yeah, can't even wear the objects that don't rez. Going to a different sim didn't help.

Rhaorth_Antonelli: Hi Rika, I am having problems rezzing items, any idea if there are other reported problems? Rhaorth_Antonelli: There is also a thread in the forums where others are saying they are having the same problem, some of them are basic account holders so not able to use live chat to let someone know Rika: Yes, we're aware of this problem and are working to fix this at this time. Thank you for notifying us and we will keep you posted on the blog soon.
there ya go, they are aware of it

I would point them to this thread, but no operators are available right now. Maybe Raudf pointed them here.
With no operators available, it could be that they are being inundated with reports of it.
