Okay, here is my story. I started playing TSO back in its launch in 2002. Three years down the road i quit, went to there.com, then quit there and came here. Until Recently. I got bored with SL, only logging in every week, then every two weeks and now practically never. I recently went back to TSO since they re-vamped it and called it Ea-land. I began to really enjoy it, I firmly established myself back into that game, with objects, houses, skills, and many friends. I was really enjoying the game, and would rush home everyday to play it. Now, well most of you know the story, that is all being ripped out from under me. and everyone else in the game. http://ea-land.ea.com/blog/I am going to come back here. Re-establish myself here. I still have this account, that is from 2005, still have many many objects, and stuff. So thats not my problem. My problem is becoming interested again. Making friends again, I will have some TSO friends here, but thats not enough to keep me interested. I won't go back to there.com there is NO way I could. That game needs some major overhauling and lacks player creativity. Please, if anyone has any suggestions, please please let me know!

Welcome back, Darron!
Sorry to hear about what's been happening to Ea-land, and all. Everyone there must be really miffed. Hard to start over somewhere else - and care, or get into it. I would suggest joining a bunch of groups, (use Search inworld using terms/subjects you enjoy). After a while you'll probably dump some, and/or join others until you find what you're looking for. I'd also take some classes offered at places like 'NCI' - New Citizens Incorporated, just to get back into SL.
What did you enjoy the most about where you were before?

Welcome back. I know how it is to not really know what to do and become adjusted to new place. I came here from beta TSO myself in and my first alt was born here in 2003. I left because it was hard and I was overwhelmed but things are much different since I came back. What keeps me interested in SL is being creative, building and hanging out with friends and learning new things. I tend to focus on how to make the doodles I make work in this world. I use to when I was playing the original sims make paintings, floors and walls.. Skills here don't come from sitting in place, you have to earn them like you would in real life or with experimenting, trial and error. If you want someone to talk too, explore Second Life or learn with look me up or you can always message me here through private message box too. Although I am very focused on being Creative and Creating, yet friendship is also one of the important things to me in Second Life personally. Friendships are the glue that hold my Second Life together.

And I suggest this thread to jump in and meet some very nice people: /327/85/252954/1.html You won't be tested on the thousands of posts before the end. We will let you slide.

Welcome back! A lot has changed since 2005, that's for sure. The world has been dramatically changed with flexi and sculptie prims, the new physics engine, a burgeoning population, and much more. Casinos are gone, as are "banks." There are plenty of new places to explore and things to do.
