Could I have the landmark too please? And yes when I go through my landmarks I pop in and then pop out. Just verifying that they are still what they were. OH oh oh I was looking at land on a map once and it had a price tag so I tpd there. It was someones house. They sat there and said hello and I said OMG i am so sorry thought this was for sale please forgive me. I tpd out and thinking I clicked the wrong thing I did it again. Darn it landed in their living room. They said no prob so they must be used to it lol. Bec

If somebody wants to 'auto ban' people from a commercial property they own, based on a two minute timer, I say let them. That is the stupidest thing ever, they deserve the bad business. Who is to say you just wanted to pop in and grab a LM and go back later. I do that all the time, my time is scarce and people drop me all sorts of info non stop. Most times I drop in and grab a location, come back when I have the time. Bad business owners, well they create bad businesses, won't last long. Just imagine trying to get customer service from an iced up royal *&^$% like that, uh not a chance

This will rake in the bucks! // LUCKY EJECTOR!
// Just like a lucky chair, but all the lucky winners in range are ejected // from your land.
// Rez a cube and put this script in it. It will only work if it belongs // to the land owner (or deeded if group owned land).
// ------------------------ // stuff you want to change:
// time in seconds to change letters float timerInterval = 120.;
// how far our reach is, in meters. float sensorRange = 10.;
// the characters we will choose from for teh luckness. Needs to be a // subset of txtAlphabet belowe, ordering is not important. Repeat // characters if you want to stack the odds :o You can add digits // if you want too, some people have names starting with those. string letters = "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ?";
// ------------------------ // Stuff you probably want to leave alone:
// a texture with characters on it so we can display them and all that. key txtUUID = "abed27eb-71a6-7949-c684-6bfd1e77a1d7";
// this is the character set represented in the txtUUID texture. // Its ordering does have to match the texture. string txtAlphabet = "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ1234567890.,!@#$%^&*()-+=[]<>?/\|`~\"' ";
// Offset for the corner of the texture vector txtOffsetA = <-0.4375, 0.4375, 0.> ;
// how far we have to shift the texture for 1 character. float txtStep = 0.125;
// the current "lucky letter" string luckyLetter = "";

llSetPrimitiveParams([PRIM_TEXTURE, ALL_SIDES, (string)txtUUID, <0.11, 0.11, 0>, myTxtOffset, 0.0]); }

From: Porky Gorky Obviously this person is an idiot for banning a potential customer, but as a merchant, it does annoy me how many people TP in , wait a minute then leave. Understandably some are in the wrong place or are crashing, but when you have a steady stream of customers and a % do this on a daily basis then it's got to raise the question of why. Banning and then critising someone isnt the best approach, i've tried to address the issue by using really low resolution textures and simple prim shapes at the landing point in case they are getting impatient for things to rez, but they still leave before they have had a chance to see anything let alone my products. That aside I still make a very good living so I dont really care that much. Maybe this guy is on his last legs and about to loose his business so banned your friend purely out of frustration.
Has anyone actually IM'ed him to find out why he did it or are you all too busy deliberately trying to annoy him? I do a lot of shopping and I think all shopaholics know that when they TP into a store that "looks empty", items and displays haven't rezzed yet. And most computer savvy people can multitask and take the time spent waiting for things to load to read mail, browse the forums, get a drink, work on a texture, chat in IM, go potty etc. Maybe I'm just naive, but the only reasons I can see for bugging out so quickly are NOT related to the products seen or unseen. In fact, earlier this week I was shopping and reviewing my landmarks while waiting for things to rez and accidentally click on a landmark and ended up god knows where. LOLs. But I got back to the previous store okay. Things happen.

I am SO going to put one of these out. If I can make it look like an F-16 ejection seat, all the better. No reason not to give fair warning, after all.
