I just heard a funny quote, so I had to make this thread... what are your favorite quotes you heard someone say in Second Life. Saying the person's name is OPTIONAL!

Mine would be...

"Greetings and Solicitations"... instead of Salutation. LOL!

One from yesterday, at the Nova Albion parade. It applied perfectly.

"Follow the lag!"

"Hey, I logged in!"

Or hearing: "Sorry, I don't speak English" after talking to someone for several minutes who found out I was from the US and not Ireland. :p

ROFL! Yes! There could have been a lot of great memorable quotes here from that parade if I just remember them.

Like... "Be careful of the bridge! It's borked!" A few minutes later... Lag-centric on the bridge!

Oh yes. Famous last words, those!

"Watch out, there's a soft spot on that bridge?" *Splash*

Yes, I found that spot trying to catch up to the parade. My prim shoes are still wet. :)

I got lucky, and somehow managed to lag myself all the way over the bridge and onto dry land. It wasn't until much later that I lagged myself into a covered canal under a street. That was a challenge. I think I managed to blow all the grey water out of the tuba, though.

A was talking about SL with a friend of mine, and one of his coworkers asked what we were talking about... When my friend answered "Second Life, ever tried it?" the coworker responded with "Nah, I'm not into pixel sex with cartoons."

There are apparently quite a few people out there who don't have any idea how varied a user experience you can have here :(

I'm gonna crash this thread. This isn't a quote because I can't remember the exact words, and it's from this forum, not SL, but...

The funniest thing I've seen anywhere to do with SL was a whole thread in this forum. If you didn't read the thread, it won't mean anything to you, but if you did read it, maybe remembering it again will make you chuckle. The thread had got started, and at the top page 2 (I think) someone posted something like:-

I found some more sims. Here they are:-

Idobelieve
Thatshedoes
Notunderstand

That kicked it off, and it became the funniest thread I've ever seen anywhere. If you remember it, I hope you're having a chuckle right now :)

The funniest forum thread I"ve seen (haven't been here as long as most) was the very recent one where the girl lost her glasses inside of her head. She had copied them and so had another pair, but they were stuck up her azz and.......at least she could see a little piece of them to pull them out. That thread went on to discuss the days when you would arrive after TP'ing with your hair, stilletos, etc, all attached to your butt. Also she was amazed at other things she found inside her head, she hadn't known she had teeth, eyestalks, etc. I LOL'd all the way home in the car over that thread.

Then the thread about the glitch that bent the avatar over so that the torso seperated from the bottom half. Someone said, have to realize, that is how the Lindens see the world, so it seems right.......LOL'd for days over that thread, also.

My favorite quite remains from the day I chased off some giant soldier guy with nothing more than my little avatar and a "Nyaa~ Nyaa~!" gesture. (^_^)

"to see people running in terror from someone so small and cheerful is a beautiful thing"

=^-^=

The forums have always been a rich source:

"graphic-on-graphic action"

"Great Gorean Auction!"

"Has anyone else noticed a distinct lack of "suprise" in their first life due to Second Life?
I no longer would be suprised if a flying milk truck filled with vampires landed on my back yard and they jumped out and started playing hopscotch whilst crocheting earmuffs.
Seen it."

And a very well deserved bow too, Eli. I remember now - it was you who kicked it off. Damned brilliant! It's not often that anything makes me laugh out loud when I'm on my own, but that thread did.

he thought the he was "a japanese baby"

removed all his objects in the shop with 4 weeks tier left and muted us

Talking with a club owner about redoing pretty much dead club.

ME: "How are you planning to make money with the club?"
THEM: "Yes!!"
