Eh, you're all assholes. Except for those who've agreed with me. I think somebody did that once, though if I recall correctly, they later discovered they were mistaken.

I LOL'd IRL at this. One of my co-workers looked at me strangely.
One of my co-workers looked at me strangely recently. Think it's related?

Ah, when I think about it, they all look at me that way. Most of the time.

Never mind!

QFT from beyond the grave. This forum is like a kindergarten or an old lady's tea party compared to some I have posted on.

Your location will be targeted by Krull nanoassemblers, you will be eaten by the Introdus nanotech and replicated across a billion death-cubes running slightly different variations of yourself to help the SteveBug borganism recreate the non-messiah.

PS: back in the '80s they created the "talk.flame" group to try and solve this problem on Usenet. It didn't work then either.

Oh damn!!!

Yes, I still lurk, and make an occasional reply. In the middle of a major steroid treatment this week, just after getting back in the house after the ice storm. 3 weeks in a hotel gets damn old. Maybe the roids will get me a little more back on track were i can make an occasional visit or two. But the daughter still senses something is "wrong" with daddy and is wanting my time. (no comments agreeing with her.) So we shall see. Bedtime is still coming at 7:00pm in the evenings due to the fatigue, so not much time for anything any more.

wont work..
ppl hate being honest about who they dislike.. a topic is needed as a thin veil...

here is some entertainment to go with the popcorn... keep y'all busy until a topic emerges

as my husband likes to say

I hate everyone...

but I like to add this line to it...

I hate everyone, except those I like, and they know who they are. :)

You forgot about poster C who points out that poster B is actually a "C". And then poster D (who is a close friend of B and always agrees with whatver she says) comes in to mindlessly disagree with poster C.

Dont forget about Poster E and all HER mates. Hey I used a lot worse language on teh street today and nobody seemed to mind.

And off in the shadows is the mysterious poster "X", the unknown, the unbound variable. The Romans knew him as "rebus", and the alchemists had hundreds of poetic names for this strange figure. What is "X" planning on doing, the poster who can take on any values, rational or irrational. What is he hiding in the darkness there?

Are those socks?

/me runs off to Youtube, giggling! :p

Flames? Here? Hardly! Maybe an occasional dull spark or two. Now, I remember some times back before the World Wide Web was created, there were plenty of Usenet threads in various comp.sys.*.advocacy and comp.os.*.advocacy newsgroups where there was some pretty good flamage going on!

Ahhhh, the good old days.... No moderators, nobody to run to. Learn or Burn was the operating standard back then.

Given what we've learned about the average age of posters here, they're probably Supp-Hose.

I think sl is proof to me that just coz I am surrounded by geriatrics and middleagers they aren't necessarily brighter or wiser than me. Its comforting to know.

(sl, coz, and middleagers also came up as incorrect spelling, but only because they are not words in my dictionary.. but at least I understand what the words are)

Jig honey I hate to ask but.... (and please take this the way it is meant, with a kind heart, I am not trying to make a dig at you or anything ok?)

does the forum spell check for you? Mine does... (thank god)

I understand you wanting to type a specific way, or making honest mistakes, but honestly hon, your posts are sometimes very hard to read. (and I do enjoy your thoughts and views, but it is sooo hard to read through the typos (both honest and purposeful ones) that ... well it is disappointing.

Please, from someone who enjoys what you have to say, please fix the typos, take the few extra seconds or even minutes it would take and fix them, make it enjoyable to read what you have to say. Please. (I would hate to have to stop reading your posts, but if you do insist on keeping the typos for whatever reason, sadly I will have to skip them, as it is sometimes hard to know what you are tying to say.)

When I was young, I used to think that way, too.

Now, I just look back and shake my head sadly at what an idiot I was. :p

Chances are, in another 20 years, I'll look back to this time and think the same thing. :D

If I had to write a parody of Jig's posting, I would not be able to do better than this!

I don't know... perhaps there's a spark of genius in Jig's fatuous neologisms...

seems like people can't stop commenting on them...

I believe that's what they call, in the business, an effective "schtick"...

heh however we are not buying into it :D

and usually businesses do it for positive "comments"

in this case, she is driving people away with the typos (that I am guessing are on purpose, since I have seen her type the properly before) and a typo is usually once in awhile, not every time :)
