i've noticed that more and more threads become flamefests between always the same handful of people.
Could you guys (yes you, i wont name names but everybody should know whom i mean) please do that namecalling kindergarten spiel over here in this thread now? thanks.

@resmod: please make sticky and keep unlocked. thanks.

You have a lot to learn about what flaming is. I haven't seen any in the forum recently. Perhaps I should point that disagreements between people and ad hominem posts are not flames in themselves. Perhaps you've led a sheltered forum life ;)

Can't you find your shift key then? Why should I post to a thread where the OP obviously thinks so little of potential respondents that he can't be bothered to use two hands to type? :rolleyes:

There is this great brand new feature on message boards called ignore. Works wonders when you don't want to read someone's posts. I find it works much better than starting your own flaming thread that only encourages the very behavior you are complaining about.

I don't see flamefests going on. I think people disagree on things but so far it has been pretty tame.

Now...in Poster B's place, would you say, "Oh...but there's a flame thread for that. I shall go there and write, "Poster A is a dumbass".?

No...you would immediately hit the Reply button in the offending thread and say "Poster A is a dumbass" right there and then.

I do it, you do it, we all do it. It's human nature. Law of the Web. Something like that.
