How mature is PG?

I don't think that Linden polices this policy very closely. I live on a PG sim and had an ad farm next to me with 3 large advertisements that certainly aren't PG, unless playboy like pics and bdsm has been classified as PG lately. ARing these didn't seem to get a response.

Excuse me for steering a little off topic, but I wanted to say that I think your use of banlines is more antisocial and a MUCH bigger potential annoyance factor than anything you might do behind closed doors and shuttered windows.

PG sims are a mystery to me....

I mean, the 18 year olds (the age to be in this grid to begin with) I know are way more knowledgeable and more educated than I am in sex, etc. and I'm 51!

Having kids myself, both are married and out of the house now, I taught them right from wrong about such stuff. You could have said anything or done anything in front of them and they knew not to repeat your actions. The kids of today are not taught any values and run rampede through life because we, the parents, are condemned if we even try to disapline them.

So unless the residents in the PG sims are actually raised by Grandma and still in grade school I don't see why anything has to be hidden from them....I am sure they see more in the real world.

Sometimes the response is that the violator simply gets a "warning"... Meaning they did respond, just quietly with a tap on the wrist. If enough people persist with the ARs, there's a chance the items will be returned. (=_=)y

Spend a month in California, you'll discover how offended "adults" are capable of being. PG is SL's way of catering to that crowd. (=_=)y

SeXXXy, there actually is a rational reason for this (or at least it makes sense to me).

I think the grid should allow Mature activities. Nevertheless, there is a time and place for them. I'm pretty sure that someone running a corporate sim, or a virtual university, doesn't want their build surrounded by escort lounges, dungeons, BDSM shops and roleplayers, etc.

PG and Mature rated land is a (rather crude) way of providing this separation.

I deffinately agree with you on this one, and I didn't mean that people in SL should be rude and offensive in their actions. Just like RL, no one runs around the town naked causing little old ladies to have heart attacks. Having morals is a good thing.

And for the comment on California, it's quite amazing to me that the people that should be such prudes. I live in Pennslyvania and know the biggest prudes of the country! People here go to the porno movies and then complain about the sexual content!
