However, I have a related question: is the region Mature or PG? It sounds like this is a Mature region. If you already know the neighbors and they know your requirements, dynamite. However, if they're strangers whom you don't know, then at times you may be in an uncomfortable situation when you're standing on your own land near a border. You may also feel inhibited against getting to know your neighbors, for fear of being AR'd for standing next to their poseballed furniture. And that would be a pity.

If I were a kid AV, I would live only in PG regions.

Well, given that it is so far the consensus of the majority that I should talk to the management about my concerns, I've decided to do that. I really, really hope that I'll be able to work something out.

I'll let you guys know - and seriously, thanks for all the advice, everyone. It's a sticky subject, and I appreciate everyone's candor.

I would look for nice rental on pg lot. If you can't find one would your mom or
a friend get you 512m lot on pg lot to rent to you?

OK, so, I contacted a rep from management, and they said they would have no problem completely deactivating the bed after I paid the rent box - which I did, and then waited there for the rep to arrive. He did, and promptly deactivated the bed; he was courteous and professional and didn't care at all about my avatar. So, now clicking anywhere on the bed will not bring up any menus or make anything else happen, and that is enough to satisfy me. I'll drop my own sleep poseball on it or something.

The bed and other provided furniture cannot be modded by me; still, though, I tried to "edit" the bed, and although I can't make any changes, I can still see a list of all the scripts and animations in the "Contents" tab. I'm not OVERLY concerned about this, but it did make me think for a few moments. I considered adding some "Bed Deactivated" floating text, but I believe floating text does not show up in snapshots unless the person taking them has "show UI" enabled, so I'm not going to bother.

We'll see how it goes.

As some know, while I dont run around as a kid, I do not use SL for sex or online relationships. Yes I know it makes me a total outlaw and looked down on by the majority of residents. But the point is it isnt unheard of for an adult av to like a place but have a better use for the room than a sex bed. They put it there as a selling point, and it's possible that's the most expensive thing in the house. They might appreciate being able to use it elsewhere when they expand.

Well, the actual rented space itself might not be lent well for a sizable party. However, there are facilities nearby that I could easily use for a party. I might consider it...
