That's what gets me -- the fact that they can attach all sorts of whack-ass "riders" on bills. Pork Barrelling yep. It's a way for Congress tp pay off their local cronies, steer Government projects their way, pay off those that fix elections for them, etc. No way they are going to give that up with a Line Item Veto. The whole lot of them are lying, thieving, bastards. Even if there were an "Honest" President, he is pretty much screwed. _____________________

Bush is just the tip of the iceberg. Washington DC needs to be nuked from orbit. It's the only way to be sure. One of the strong parts of our Government is how little power the Office of President has in and of itself. Very few countries can have a change of power, either through assasination, natural death or resignation, all which have happened in the past 60 or so years, and have the transition go smoothly and peacefully. _____________________

I know it's hip to point and laugh at GW for every stupid thing that comes out of Washington, especially from our foreign friends who only see CNN and Fox, and understandably have no idea to the innerworkings of our Government, but in Washington the entire fish stinks, not just the head. Actually I'm from Cali. I just despise being represented globally by a man of below average intelligence who won a very controversial first election. Plus he's a lying hypocrit, which all politicians are I suppose. He just happens to be far dumber than most. |

Very few countries can have a change of power, either through assasination, natural death or resignation, all which have happened in the past 60 or so years, and have the transition go smoothly and peacefully. Interestingly, The Bush administration has been using an extreme version of an obscure doctrine called the "Unitary Executive Theory" to justify executive actions that far exceed past presidents' power. Its been noted that when Bush was planning his new administration in 2000, one of the key agenda items was expanding the power of the Executive branch - under the thinking that past presidents had weakened the executive too much. This was all well before 9/11 - which inadvertently served to draw public support for the stronger executive Bush was hoping to acheive. _____________________

Im not totally certain of exactly how the UK laws stand on this but I do remember reading this article a few years ago and bookmarking it, just to remind myself that ppl CAN be fined under UK law for libel on the internet in forums and chat rooms.

I wasn't referencing you necessarily by "foreign friends" the rest of your post I pretty much agree with except that he's not as far dumber as you may think if you ask me, there are some real idiots in that bunch. _____________________

The height of hypocrisy!
01-18-2008 12:53
Bush couldn't care less about being ANNOYING to the rest of us. By default, he is guilty of the same law he proposed to congress. You want to know the height of hypocrisy? Get this, He claims to be a Presbyterian, yet is a known member of the Skull and Bones Society!

He has used that to a greater extent than any other President, and I don't know when it was used last, Truman maybe? In and of itself it isn't a bad thing, just who is using it and how. _____________________

He comes off as being dumb...but don’t let him fool you with that slow stupid sounding Texas drawl, and his weak attempt at humor... he is a sly one, and an evil pragmatist. An optimist says a glass is half full, a pessimist says a glass is half empty, a pragmatist wants to know who is going to wash the glass. I guess an evil pragmatist just throws the glass against the wall. _____________________

I don't think he just sounds stupid, but he genuinely is. He's fine as long as he has a prepared speech to read, or knows what questions reporters will ask him ahead of time. When he has to actually listen to a question and come up with an answer of his own on the spot though, he has a fantastic track record for just babbling, mumbling and making no sense whatsoever.
Someone showed me a calendar of stupid Bush moments, stupid little things he's said that are just retarded. One blunder for each calendar day, it was hilarious. Oh and as for the original topic, that law may pass, but will never be enforced. Kinda like j-walking in New York City. |

According to translation tables from SAT scores to general IQ. Bush has about an IQ of 124 (SAT score of 1206).
I guess SAT testing is broken. _____________________

So did Clinton, Reagan, & Carter. If I were older, I'm sure that Nixon, LBJ and JFK would have had me ROFLing too. I don't remeber laughing much durin Bush 1 _____________________

Those who don't stand with The President (capital T and capital P) are anti-Semetic,
anti-American and they don't support the troops.Don't you have any respect for Honest (capital H) people that just want to make you feel safe. Eventualy those critics just don't understand, but that shouldn't be an excuse to talk evil. Here's some background for you bastards that don't support the war on evilness... The Iraq/Iran Liberation Some people think we hate the Iraqi people, here's proof to show why we don't, already in WWI our british friends attempted to liberate them, and completed the mission in 1932. They tried to sacrifice some civilians that were evil (unarmed but evil)... we understood that evildoers were on their way back to regain control, so we supported one man, a man we thought was of honor namely saddam hussein. He was a man of peace when we needed him after the evil Iranians overthrew our good friend in Iran (The Shah). He was doing a very good job to support our peace idea when he attacked Iran. Unfortunately he let us down, he wasnt willing to use chemical weapons we gave him (instead he sold them to a seire of evil states usch as lybia, syria, iran). So we figured out we had to give him another chance for peace by attacking his regime in 1990, but the bastard still refused to cooperate so under the Clinton administration we sent the following letter: http://www.newamericancentury.org/iraqclintonletter.htm But then we figured out something smells fishy here, Clinton refused, so we sent another letter, when that didn't work we even tried to bring to life Monica Lewinsky, but still he refused to see the truth, maybe he was cooperating with the evildoers (future will show). Well we coundlt let evil win, so we sent a letter, this time to the house of representatives: http://www.newamericancentury.org/iraqletter1998.htm Despite Clintons refusal to spread peace and democracy, we were successful with this letter: http://www.newamericancentury.org/balkans_pdf_04.pdf And got him to liberate Jugoslavia from evil (yet critics say we commited genocide, that is just an outragous conspiracy theory). With help of our (back then) good friend Osama Bin Laden we successfuly liberated the country. We learned our lesson that these people couldnt be trusted when they directly attacked us on 911, as a result we ended up in Afghanistan.... And were there to stay, untill we both liberate Iraq, Iran, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Russia, China, Venezuela, Lybia, Sudan. Critics say we're there for oil, it's not true we're making sure that the evil doers dont get the oil, don't we deserve a reward (just a few barrels of oil, for liberating the middleast as a whole ? freedom has a price why should we pay without a compensation ?) Although i have to admit we have run into liquidity issues in the past and we had to do something, in 2007 we signed a bill that prohibited evil doers to run onlinecasinos in USA so the only casinos allowed now are our own. If you don't support this bill you don't support freedom and deserve to be sent to Guantanamo Bay! Other things that raise concern is the internets (yes The President is aware that it's not the internet but internets) it is dangerous to our freedoms to allow people to publicise their outragous conspiracytheories so we took the the job to liberate the internets from the dangers of false information (we are aware that your brain can easily be manipulated to believe in some evil) so untill we have liberated the internetS completely we recommend that you only read the following "FACT-approved" sources: foxnews.com cnn.com or any of our good friend's Rubert Murdoch's news companies. Blogs, forums, youtube has to go, we can't tolerate evil information to be spread like this, it's not because we want to but we have figured out that we had to make a choice, because we had no choice. ![]() If the above doesn't make sense then you: believe 911 was an inside/outside job, don't support the troobs, don't believe in freedom. And therefore we have to protect you from such enslavements. Or maybe you're one of those idiots called "libertarians", with the Ron "Dr. Evil" Paul on top ? Help us save corporate america, so we can continue to lobby the democrats and republicans please donate to Exxon Mobil, Lockheed Martin, Merck, Newscorp and the rest of our ethnical businesses in the Military, Energy, Pharmaceticua and Informationl Industrial Complexes if you disagree you want our poor CEO's and investors to die of hunger and that is just sick! Think of how great it would be if only people like Bill O. Reilly could post on these forums ![]() |
