I have to step in and say that Chaos, I think you really do see what you've done. I base that on the very good and informative posts you've made over the past several days, which one poster has already pointed out.

You and I have had our differences and I've taken jabs at you here and there, but sincerely I don't want to see you get banned from the forums or SL. I would rather see you continue to contribute in a constructive manner and maybe even join in some of the fun banter we have here and there. That's not going to happen though if you don't learn to chill, Man.

Sorry, Bradley, this post tells me that he doesn't understand what he did.

The first thing he did wrong was post a series of miscategorized advertisements that belonged in Products Wanted or Employment Opportunities. No, they don't really hurt anyone, but that isn't the point - this forum would be unreadable if everyone posted these ads willy nilly in here. I have a couple dozen new properties to show off, and plenty of people need things or are selling things. Ads belong with ads.

Alicia let him know that he was miscategorized, and did it a little roughly because it's not the first time he did it - he miscategorized posts when he was showing off Felonhall. He doesn't remember, but she did, and he refused to see what exactly he was doing wrong. The quote posted above seems to show that he still doesn't know. And then he clearly forgot about the post that directly named her and insulted her.

I generally don't care about who posts things - I prefer to judge post by post than by poster, so I have no personal axe to grind against Chaos. But he had a pattern of miscat posting, and given opportunity, I would expect to see it again.

Your post that I've quoted above would indicate that you believe otherwise, and that upsets me, because it perpetuates the myth that we are louts.

My image of most brits are either of a well-dressed gentleman/gentlelady or a kind grandfatherly/grandmotherly kinda person

Trust me, I've followed it all. I remember Chaos from the firsts posts of his that I'd seen. I never miss any since. The only reason I said I think he knows is that over the past week his posts have changed dramatically. I shouldn't dare get inside another persons head but this thread and the ones from the past imply to me he is guilty of being reactionary rather than not understanding right or wrong. The only one who can really answer that is Chaos. We'll know soon enough if we see that he's finally banned, which is really what I suspect will happen.

not all of us, unfortunatly i have been to some of the world, first and second, and have found that britian is known modernly for its drinking culture and violent council estates (YAY Hartcliffe). A few years ago everyone thought we knew the queen, this isnt everyones view, but a generalization. just like the US is seen for its McDonalds, burger eating and other stuff
im sure not everyone has these opinions, and britian can be a good place, the same as anywhere but thats what its known for

Just make sure to use the queen's English when you use your expletives...


I would just drop it. Anything that happens in the forums, in my most humble opinion, is not worth getting your name, inventory, and land taken away for one day or 10,000 days.

I find the drinking to be more a generalization of specifically Ireland and Scotland...

I'm giving even odds on Germany, 2:1 on France and for fun, 5:1 on Australia. No actual bets, please. Chaos could screw things up by purposely picking on a longshot and I'd get banned for gambling.

Maybe if you go to Majorca, where Brits and Germans fight for towels on the beach...
To my friends in Egypt, e.g., Brits aren't only known for getting pissed at the local. Some, maybe, but why use that as an excuse for yourself???

I didn't say anything bad about the Germans. I was trying to guess who Chaos was going to offend next. There are a ton of Germans in SL, so he could get a good swipe of the population with one go. It seems like a logical next step.

He should make some remark about anyone who spends hours of their time in a Virtual World. That way he could offend all of us at once.

would be easier to to go at whiping the planet clean and siable any breathing equipment on spacecrafts so he`ll know for sure no one is left out
