I'm fine as long as everything is properly proportioned. But I prefer to shoot for a muscled rugged athletic look. There are too many over-tattooed, or euro-chic guys running around. I know I've overused this pic, but it's the only one I can link to from here. Yeah...maybe my shoulders are a tad wide...or waist a tad thin. But I find the shape pleasing. For ladies...I've always liked the 'girl next door' look over the 'hollywood glam' look. So I most like natural female shapes.

I'm really happy about Bradley. I created his shape and I was trying to avoid the big muscle bound wrestlers you see all over the place. To me, Bradley looks like an average guy who goes to the gym about 3 times a week. It took a lot of work to get the shape just right for my tastes. I tweaked and tweaked and tweaked. I originally had him around 5'9" which is the average height for men in the U.S. Unfortunately Bradley looked tiny compared to the 7' guys all around, so I adjusted him up to 6'5"

From: Oleyn Raleigh Very nice, Lewis. But I read somewhere that you are transgender F to M. Your sense of style may be residual. You've not seen the way I dress in RL. I've never been stylish (till I got here at least)

From: Eli Schlegal I can't even imagine what kind of flack I would get if I came on here and posted something like this directed at women. "So gals, why don't you trash that old "insert derogatory comment about female shapes" shape?" Yes, we gals can trash "bleached silicone Barbie with zero body fat", okay? But I thought it's better to show a pic of a shape I like and say: I want to se more like this" than show a pic of a guy with a shape I dislike and go "Ewww that's an ugly shape". I remember my first talk with a guy outside Orientation Island, or whatever the place I landed when I logged into SL first time. I had stood there 1 hour or more, adjusted all sliders, including the default hair. I thought I had found a nice golden brown shade. I tp out and the first guy I talk with tell me that I will find good hair soon... I was a bit in shock. Ohhh you mean there's prim hair that moves? But my first reaction was. "Hey what do you mean, am I ugly?!?" And I always compliment a guy with a shape I like I think guys need compliments too. But this forum is a bit wrong place to post this, because most who read here has put a bit time and effort in their looks. 99 of 100 avatars probably don't know this forum?

I was never stylish in SL until I got that skunk avatar, and it just didn't look right without a proper smoking jacket.

Thank you

Thank you, Marianne, for the extremely kind comment about this shape! I also appreciate the criticisms mentioned here. I will be sure to take them into account when tweaking this shape in the future. I must admit that I cannot take much credit for the shape because it is a store bought shape from Body Doubles (one of the regular shapes, not one of the celebrity shapes). I did not tweak much except the face, which has been adjusted significantly to suit the skin and actually does look very nice and realistic closeup. The photos do not really do the face much justice because they were meant to showcase the tuxes, not the avatar. To clarify, yes, I am a RL female operating both female and male avatars in SL. My female avatar, Stacie Pryor, is my primary account and the avatar used most often for blogging. This male alt was created specifically for display purposes when featuring male items on the blog and does NOT operate much in SL aside from photography for the blog. Since I created my main avatar, Stacie Pryor, in keeping with my RL appearance and age (26), I decided that my male avatar should look somewhat like an average male my age, too. So, this is my interpretation...no more, no less. Obviously, I am no expert, and this avatar was created according to my own taste. Thanks for your suggestions. They are very much appreciated. Oh, and I highly recommend this site for a wide variety of male fashion suggestions: http://irregularguy.wordpress.com/Thanks! Stacie Pryor http://www.staciepryor.com
