Eeeeew, that means you eat to the odor of Englishmen.

Haven't been to London lately, have you? grins... it's nothing but Americans, immigrants, and other tourists last I was through.

The last of the Angles, Saxons and Normans were defeated not by weapons, but by a hefty parking surcharge... and it's not entirely a bad thing, as evidenced by the general improvement of the food...

OH, I have smelled skunk. I have even had to hose skunk off my truck tires. But the closest thing to a ferret I have seen would be a skinny groundhog.

Anyway, I thought we were talking about people sniffing weasel butts.

I know an English girl, she refers to all English men in London as "drunken wankers". But of course she isn't really English, she is Canadian and just lives in London.

Once that sentence put the image into your head, you can never forget it.

Ferret is "skunk lite". Quite nice in moderation.

No, cat butts. Bringing in weasels was an attempt to muddy the waters.

Well that proves everything right there, then. See! Perfect example!

If you are looking for the English look in Spain, or Germany, or maybe even California...

Portland, Oregon has a good population, as well as one of the best English dives [the Horse Brass on SE Belmont] , although the smoking ban has ruined the ambiance.

I nearly regret the cat butt comment now, but having an interest in zoological oddities, this proves entertaining. On the cat butt commenter's behalf, I am familiar with the cat butt to which said commentator referred. I would have said old Nacho Dorritos, me.

Like cat owners don't know what I mean. When they (cats, not commentators) prance about your newspaper, rears swiveling and shoved in your face, I have yet to smell antique rose.

London is full of the English. They commute from Winchester.

I know but I just dont have teh time. And yes, people do read newspapers. And I get Times Literary Supplement also sent to me. I have them ironed first so they are nice and flat. All civilized people iron their newspapers.

I read the newspapers. Online, that way I don't have to worry about them getting soaked or stacking up before I can get them to the compactor's recycle bin.

Sparkling water with lemon does that. So does sparkling green tea. So do a few other things that I can think of ;)))))

I still drive my husband crazy being able to read a book, carry on a conversation, actually listen to our kids, and follow a TV show at the same time.

At work today, during an hour of time: worked on updating a computer access permission list of 927 students, assisted several teachers with files students had sent via email (MS Works at home, all the school computers don't have the converters installed), helped two other students with Movie Maker and music files to use with their movies, disinfected two workstations (not what you might be thinking. 2 special ed kids were in and the keyboards were kinda saliva dripped on by the time they left), finished installing an astronomy program on 25 workstations for a teacher. I'm sure there is more, but can't remember right now :)

My kids can't figure out why we eat quick to cook stuff during the week, LOL! Dang it! I'm TIRED by the time I get home.

Oh yes, am also trying to avoid any flu for at least 2 weeks. We have non-refundable plane tickets to use!

As far as that flu goes, big deal. It's flu. People get flu all the time, and yes, sometimes they die. It's just another media/government manufactured panic to take people's minds off real problems. Next they'll be telling us Martians have landed in Grover's Mill, New Jersey.

NO!!

The Media & the Government would NEVER LIE to us!!! :p

Sad too, is how we now have to call it N1H1. Swine Flu was "upsetting" the pork industry, and "Mexican Flu" was considered 'racist'.

Is it me, or is this world more F'd up than a Football Bat???

Oddly enough, I've encountered several british & scotish folks in Pittsburgh.

I noticed one guy had a very light british accent. Another was more thick.

I also noticed, no matter what the woman looks like in person, on the phone that accent makes her sound like the sexiest thing around.

Heh! You can go somewhere and have people recognize your accent and say "OH! You're British/Scottish/Southern", BUT.... when they hear "Yinz goin' dahntahn for a sammich??", they know EXACTLY where yer from!!! :p

I find that the weekly fliers from the local grocery store are quite enough to keep our snakes occupied. Reptiles simply don't demand the same kind of intellectual stimulation as mammals.
