Sensual, have you ever visited the Hairspray sim? It has a sampling of styles from a ton of different designers.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

yes I have :)

Again I feel there isn't a single hair designer that I believe is the total package, I have to go to several different ones.

So to say there is one that is the BEST, I don't believe I can name a single person to be the BEST hair designer.

I am looking for realistic hair styles, textures and colors which I can easily find in SL, but have not yet found it from the same designer... make sense?

My favourite for modern styles is Sirena. I am convinced that Natalia doesn't sleep, based on the volume and quality of her products (to say nothing of her online tutorials).

For historical hairstyles, Cornelia Rothschild work cannot be topped. She manages to duplicate all those fantastic braided and looped styles of the two centuries leading up to the Edwardian. I'm also very fond of Mystikal hair,

Betwixt those two timeframes, Betty Doyle (Ingenue) does some lovely Vintage styles, for those who love Big Band :)

Hmm...the only thing I'm REALLY looking for right now is 1920s hair, particularly the shingled look. Does anyone have any sources for that?

natural hair

I just spent hours going to the stores mentioned here, trying to find as natural a hair as I could to go with my more realistic new skin. Best thing I could find was Silk from RaC.

Sometimes I think its better to go shopping with an open mind than to be looking for something specific. Of course, if I made my own stuff, I might not get so frustrated...

The faves: my usual short do is Reckless, (white "coconut";), from Tami McCoy - I get constant comments, and it goes wonderfully with my pale skin from Celestial. Favorite mid long is Willow, from Zero Style - most swishiest, softest hair I've seen. Ultra long, Heian-era Japanese kimono wearing royalty channeling hair is from Cake, and I can't remember the darn style name, but it's absolutely stunning, although not quite as swishious as the 0-style. Best wild-woman hair, helpful when sleeping on the couch without a pillow (grin :)) is Emily, from Calico. Wonderful, huge, wild. (Waves to Abby Bloxome - hey - haven't seen you in forever!)

My main hairstyle I wear is from Pazazz. It's one of their transitions hairs called Uptown. A down-do and you click on it and her hair goes into a ponytail. I love the Stormy color they used to have but it doesn't seem to be around anymore as I just bought Uptown 2 and that color wasn't an option. Oh well, I still love the hair anyways. I also have hair I wear from Calla but my Pazazz hair is my most favorite.

There's a style at ETD called 'Flapper' which might work for you. Her Aveda line also has a nice short bob.

There are a couple of vintage shops at Michief Cove that have hair. I am not sure of the period but you could try there

Sirena has hair like the Rac style as well, very realistic. It comes with seperate bangs as well.

Shout out for Shylah Honey at Damselfly, who has released some very nice styles recently. Storm and Aletta are two current faves for long, fluffy, flexi goodness :) She also has some nice men's styles.

Just for the random Gal looking for nice ethnic styles..I came across a girlie who makes the nicest afros and corn rows..some really great stuff..unfortunately she doesn't have the fros in blonde...but..they're flexi and the curls are really detailed. The stores name is..hmm i might have to edit this..(its from memory) Mau's & Mej's. in Dibacco((they're currently moving to a new sim))

If anyone has seen a nice blonde fro..like something from the 70s?..Id love to take a look :D

Hmm ETD...
03-03-2008 12:24
I don't know what it is about ETD. So many peeps like the place so I go back every once in awhile to see why I'm not getting it. But everytime I go in there I immediately start to get into a bad mood and feel like running out of the store screaming. Could be the lag but Gurl 6 has lag too and never felt quite that way. Maybe its the fact that the hair is too small and doesn't have different sizes like Gurl 6. I don't know, I feel for what I'm paying I shouldn't have deal with the lag to buy something and then hassle with the sizing to get it to fit my head. I went there during the BIG SALE and but again couldn't stand it after a few minutes and left. Maybe I'll give it another try now that they've remodeled again.

It's ok.. one of the reasons I fell in love with ETD was cause i had a small head and big lips..and voila there it was...a store with small headed big lipped models :p Im sure her hair doesnt fit everyone.

At Rac yesterday..all of her hairstyles fit better on a girl with a more pronounced forhead..I had to tiltall the hairstyles to fit me right.
