Wow! I've been away for about an hour and already 23 additonal posts!!! I guess we women take our hair seriously. In the spirit of election year here in the US, I think I'll let this go on for a couple of days and then do a tally of the results. I'll let you know who wins the "election". :-)

ETD has great hair. Last week she was selling hair packs for 25L each! I'm not sure if its still has it on sale, but I loaded up and love all of them. She also has a section of freebies and dicounted items.

I remembered another! I recently started trying out hair from Truth, and some of the styles are fantastic, i have a short straight style, but my favourites from there are the messy casual updo's with bangs around the face, and the hair colours are very realistic

This really is a great thread. Tonight I'm going to visit wig makers. That or eat ice cream. I'll probably just eat ice cream.

There's a mall that's devoted to nothing but hair. Hairspray, I think it's called. You can see a lot of brands in a short time there, though most of the stores only carry a limited selection of their line.

I love Frangipani designs! I also have a few Calla, Maitreya (sp?) - but I'm glad you asked this because I've been on a major hunt for good hair elsewhere. Some of what is mentioned is on my list of places to visit, but some I haven't heard of yet. Thanks! :D

Zero style and RAC. I get the most positive comments when wearing the RAC snow storm.

Really? Why not, what'd they do? (I haven't heard of them, just curious.)

I'm a total Calico junkie. Their hair is so fluffy and falls in a very natural way. Also, the styles are just right for me.

Ooooh.......what happened? Almost all the hair I own are from them, but I've been desperately searching for other great places. Haven't found any yet, although I have a huge hair shopping day ahead of me with all of these suggestions that's for sure. Curious though about Frangi, cause I really love the designs!! Not that your issue with them will become mine, but still curious........

Let's say she 'borrowed' content from a number of creators, several of whom were mentioned in this thread. Worse, she admitted to it but showed no apparent remorse. I checked her blog at the time, curious about her side of it, and it was all very, "Why are they upset? They should be flattered! *giggle*"

Admittedly, this happened something like a year ago, so things may be on the up and up now, but her attitude regarding the incident guaranteed that her shop would never receive any business from me.

I just got a my first hair from Armidi this past week. I love it, texture is nice and it feels realistic. They don't have alot of styles that fit my persona, but the quality is great if you find a style that you like. And yeah, some of the guys hair lots hawt in the pics.

I've got one from Mystical that I like alot, one from Slink, a couple from Simply Britnee, and few Gurl6.

I remember that, and I, too, can only think of that anytime I hear their store name. Thieves suck.

ETD have produced my favourite stuff of late, though I did buy a short style from Maitreya that I love. Kinda casual and a little unkempt that is unusual, refreshing and very much different to the usual fairly generic look. Of course, now human Kel is in the box for a while, I don't worry about all this stuff any more. Just brush the bits of food out of my fur in the morning and I'm away.

I have found hair I like from almost every SL hair creator I have seen. I probably have way too many now! I am most likely to be wearing RaC, Cake, Kin or Zero Style at the moment. But I have other favourites from Cala, Diversity, GUrl6, Lost Thereian, ETD, Tami McCoy - and others.

I like Gurl6, but the store is so big I find it hard to have a good look lol. I guess it just means I have to keep going back :p
Sirena is cool, I love ETD, and I have one freebie from Truth. I keep meaning to go there to have a look at the other stuff.
I also have a hair from a place called Mau and Mej's. Real looking. A lot of the stuff I saw is asian inspired I think and most is flexi.
I recently found Philotic Energy and I think this is wonderful. They have some nice mens ones too.

Another vote for ETD here. If only they weren't quite so popular I might be able to move around and take better advantage when they have discount sales. The recent one was always absolutely heaving every time I looked in.

Truth also does some good styles for men as well as women.

That's a whole sim I believe and a great way to sample different stores. Expect to spend a lot of time doing it though.

My most frequently worn styles are from: ETD, Zero Style, Armidi, HCT, Deviant Kitties, Sirena. And my all time favourite pigtails are from Artilleri.

OMG a thread just for me!!!! I have a hair fetish and my poor husband really puts up with a lot lolol. Right now I have close to 200 hair.
Favs are RAC, Mystikal, Armedi

Did you know there was a Hair Mall? I am not inworld right now so I can't post the slurl but it has shops from the lesser known designers right up to the big names. There are some lesser known designers who have some fantastic hair.

I probably spend more L$ on my hair than anything else. I really like Sirena's and Gurl6. I'm looking for other places that sell quality hair for women. Who sells the best hair in your opinion?

I own way too much hair but my faves are, depending on my mood:

ETD
Naughty
Abyss
Armidi
Deviant Kitties
RAC
Gritty Kitty
Kin Keiko
HCT

On a side note I do like some of Analog Dogs hair but I do not like the fact that the bangs on some are a separate piece and I need all my facial attachments for other things. They can also be a bit too flexy for me.

I like the flexiprims of AD's hair...to me, the movement is the most realistic I've seen.
However, I don't like some of their colors and textures all that much.

As for the separate bangs...it's possible to edit the hair and bang into a single object, saving that attachment point. Here's what I do...

1. Do any editing needed on the hair and bang for size/position.
2. Stand on a pose stand.
3. Make a copy of the hair and the bang for safety.
4. Wear the hair and the bang
5. Rez a copy of the bang on the ground nearby.
6. Move the copy-bang into position so it overlaps the bang on your head.
7. Do the same for a copy of the main hair object.
8. Detach the copies of the hair and bang that you are wearing, leaving the copies that are correctly positioned, but not actually attached to you.
9. Select the bang object and hair object and Link them. Be careful to keep the same root prim as the original hair.
10. Take the edited hair into inventory and save it with a new name, like "ADedited".
11. Now Wear the newly created hair-and-bang. Adjust position if needed.
