Wow has Mr. T! Where is our awesome spokesperson?!
After a bit of debate, We choose Robin Williams. We think his credibility, acting range and audience, all fit SL's advertising needs. Also, can you imagine how funny his commercials would be?!
Sooo.. Who do You think should represent SL? Perhaps we need lots of spokespeople from all the cultures involved. Whatcha think?

Johnny Depp. He is always playing fantastical characters; Pirate, Willy Wonka, Demon Barber, Mad Hatter and of course, Edward Scissor Hands.
He could appear in sims that are developed around each of his characters.
M should call his people and have lunch.

Ooo I likes! The part about a sim matching the commercial is great. Imagin seeing a neat advert and being dropped in that themed region after signing up.
And I love the Demon Barber. =D

why stop at one? I like both Robin and Johnny for it... but we need some feminine presense too... some one with some background and not just a current it person... Drew Barrymore sounds good to me... and maybe Kira Knightly.... maybe not she's prolly to expensive ATM... but Carmen Sanchez doesn't seem too busy right now....

One wonders who many 'famous' people wander around in SL. Dr. Michio Kaku has visited Second Life, and he's fairly well known now that he does all those shows on The Science Channel. He even had an avatar that looked like him. Speaking of which, as far as an intellectual spokesman is concerned, he'd be my choice.

Weird Al Yankovic. He's funny, charismatic, and extremely smart. Could even reprise his White And Nerdy video showing him rolling around SL on a SLegway.

From: Alisha Matova ...After a bit of debate, We choose Robin Williams... Haha, at first, I thought you meant the Australian presenter of science programs and Ockham's Razor - and he'd be a totally appropriate and amusing choice, except that probably almost no-one has heard of him - even in Australia - unless they're a Radio National listener!

Christopher Lloyd, perhaps. There's definitely a "Good old 1985" vibe to Second Life.

From: Conifer Dada Lady Gaga? too flashy, too new, and no telling if she'll do something extremely crazy... although that might be a good thing.

We would need two I think..
One for the image LL wants to pretend SL is like... maybe the guy who plays the PC in the Apple commercials?
Another for what SL is really like... Amy Winehouse maybe?

Shatner! Hah, he would be great too! I can already hear: "you....... Simply must..... Try....... All that is secondlife".lol!
@ Waterstar, You've sparked an idea. Here in the US we have "Bill Nye the science guy". I am sure every media market has an equilivant. The science guys can be backup or season two's comercials!
Awesomes! I will have to look up some of other ideas. Thanks! Keep um coming! I am so gunna try to sell this to M!

From: Johan Laurasia One wonders who many 'famous' people wander around in SL. I always went with the attitude that the newbie guy, who just landed 24 hours ago, still in newbie gear, at the info hub.... is George Clooney. SL is very exciting this way. And now that I have him in a good shape, and a good skin, and good clothes, and a pretty piece of land, with a nice home....and gave him a ton of advice on exploring and romance and business.....I think he is ready to be "Spokesperson." Matthew McCaughney and Harry Connick Jr., and Bruce Springsteen and Bono, are ready as well.
