From: Shu Zemenis know i use it quite alot, for my RL friends and for receiving posts from interesting SL tweeters. Wondering if it has picked up within ppl in SL? You might consider the SL Twibe, almost 200 members, including a couple of Lindens. Twibes is a Twitter service that lets you look at the tweets of people you aren't necessarily following, but are tweeting about the same things you are - for example, SL. In this case, it's handy for finding information about what people are doing or thinking about SL on a broader range. http://www.twibes.com/group/SecondLife

The url for this twibe is http://www.twibes.com/group/LindenLab . Ah, I wish I had seen your post before I posted myself. I saw Path's tweet and brought him over the the SecondLife twibe. He joined right up.  But a Linden twibe might be useful nonetheless.

I tweet now & then. Mostly funny little things or comments. I don't do the "now having pixel sex with" or "now eating a chocolate bar" or "now listening to" types of vanity tweets. Occasionally I'll tweet a new fashion photo or interesting thing for SL. It's an interesting way to reach tons of peeps at once. Plus, where else can you be entertained by Prokofy 24-7? As more of them are available, as more my RL und SL business and maybe private (hehehe) competitors losing time, productivity, creativity, concentration, nervs, overview, money, sleep, energy, RL competence (in any meaning) and whatever, while using them excessively. Seen from some meters distance, these social networks are all nothing than global murmur, cheap chit-chat, schmooze, gossip, blabla and wasted time and as more they grow, as more one becomes a drop in the ocean's of blabla. Since datas are building a second sphere (beside the sky) around the globe and a third and fourth (i.e. transaction sphere/ money sphere, unwanted news-sphere from distances) there is now the fifth sphere - the blabla-sphere established. This is funny, but also somehow stupid, because it transforms the globe into an oversized staircase of an halluzinated apartment building where millions of people talking the usual boring nonsense all day long which leads into nothing. My only tool to waste time is SL and occasionaly its forums, but I don't need to add some more time wasting tools to my life. |

It appears that I have not answered this thread yet.
So....
No I don't do Twitter and tweeting. I'm sure it's good fun but I do so many things already I don't have time for more. Somehow Twitter and its tweety terminology is offputting, more so that "Woot" and "Lag" and "BRB" but not quite as bad as "oh la la la la I love that tune"!
