I am not that interested in always being in-the-know on every tidbit of someone's life, nor do I care to devote the time to it.
SL and the Forums already consume a large part of my non-work waking hours. _____________________

Friends and I use Facebook, but most of us update what's going on, but it's usually only every couple of hours or so.
Twitter is just too much, IMO. I don't care to know every minute detail of my friends. _____________________
My interest in SL has simply died. Thanks for all the laughs

Twitter is an ideal medium for people that find themselves extremely interresting.
It´s even more ideal for people who don´t care about such people, knowing that this is one site they will never have to visit  |

I have belonged to the first online diary...pre-dating blogs for...gosh...maybe 10 years or more. I like the diary format MUCH better than the more common blog where one is reading, imo, backwards (meaning from the most recent back) therefore I'm not even interested in Facebook, My Space, and even less Twitter.

popular enough, that the hashtag #SecondLife is worth watching.
Good to remember also, that LL uses Twitter, and that's the only way you can get semi-current information on grid status issues. @SLGridStatus for that. _____________________

Plurk is so popular with SL'ers that they added "Second Life" to the available list of countries of residence. It's like Twitter, only... better.

I don't use Twitter myself, nor Facebook, MySpace, or a personal blog or any similar stuff that puts my mental meanderings on the Internet. None of the people I spend most of my time with in SL do, either. Or if they do, I never hear about it, since I do not.

Well, to those who don't understand twitter that well, it's more than just a media for self expanding and big ego, and for sure more than announcing what you are doing everyday.
For me, twitter is a place where i get interesting information about new gadgets or news or youtube clips or even tips on doing different kinds of things. It all depends on who you choose to follow, really. I have quite a few interesting ppl on my following list, and they provide me with alot of new tips and tools. The world is expanding at our fingertips, this is just another way of making all the information come to you. in case someone else did use twitter too, mine is http://twitter.com/shuzemenis : > |

I use twitter to get updates from a handful of online artists and writers who use it to announce updates to their comics/galleries/blogs/whatevers.
