two thumbs up for the Forum hangout, always a nice respectful group. Sometimes it's kinda quiet - so c'mon over all !!

A nice respectful group? Where?!!

***edit*** maybe she meant two thumbs up the group, which would be appropriate in some cases ...

oops sorry Bodhi. Guess that related to my last post. I deleted it 'cos I now can't be sure of being in-world at that time tonight.

Apologies again.

mmm ... think I'll read the notecard on that stupid game while I wait ... don't want Trout shouting at me again.

I didn't shout at you! Unjustly accused! Framed even! Actually, I really had fun playing both those games. Greedy Greedy is more my pace, but the other one was a hoot as well.

Reading the notecards is a mistake - just play and figure it out as you go along.

Depends on the lady in question. Sometimes they get so short the waistband's below the cuffs. :D

Yeah, and then I was all confused when I went back to quote you. Thought the weekend's activities had taken more of a toll than I realized. I'll delete my posts, too.

Greedy Greedy, down in the gazebo and I can't remember the name of the other one. It was a dice game that sort of combined Yahtzee and Connect 4. It's located on the side deck of the clubhouse.

OK... I really am very shy by nature... RL and SL.

A dear loving friend invited me to stop by the hangout tonight and all I can say is wow.... or hoooo... or woot woot.

Very nice people and very friendly to the shy...

Thank you to all of those I met tonight. You know who you are and you made me feel welcome.

Rosie...

You were so nice to me when I arrived at the doorstep last night as a newbie, I had no idea it was your first time (at the Hangout, that is)! The dance floor chatter was a real hoot.

And nobody shamed me because I couldn't figure out how to work the dance ball. I suppose the crowd reserves that kind of abuse for a person's second visit.

I hope to see you there again soon!

The only people who are really abused are Trout and me. But that is ok, we usually ask for it.

SYDNEY (AFP) - Santas in Australia's largest city have been told not to use Father Christmas's traditional "ho ho ho" greeting because it may be offensive to women.

Sid is also, but then he does sit on people and ride his motorcycle around. People are less thrilled when male avatars do this type of thing for some reason.

oh and: Are these offended women maybe ho's?

LOL! Wait. Were you serious? Welcome to being male. You are a shorter leash now. You can't go sitting on other guys and expect them not to get mildly irritated, and when you ride a motorcycle (loudly) inside a building, you don't get a pass because you are pretty. Sid needs to learn that guys get treated like guys. That means you are expected to take a little more abuse, especially from other guys. It's hard to explain. For example, when Chris and I are at the hangout abusing each other it's not meant in a nasty, vicious way; we're just busting each other's chops because we're friends. It's how guys communicate.

Overall, being a guy is great in both RL and SL. I'm not complaining. I'm just saying it's a different standard and a different set of expectations. Sid needs to not get offended when he gets told to put the f-ing motorcycle away or get out of some guy's lap. It goes with the territory.

Um . . abusing each other? Is that why when I stopped by one night, you both quickly pulled on pants? The pants you pulled on, Trout, looked suspiciously like it matched Chris' shirt, not your shirt.

---
In all seriousness - I wandered into the hangout once, didn't look at the name, saw someone that looked like Trout (bushy whitish hair, dark pants/dark shirt) and almost said "Hi Trout" only to stop myself when I glanced up and noticed Chris' name.

Almost off-the charts slutty. Shame on you and congratulations. -- Trout

I would like to put in a word for Chris and Trout, who we do like to abuse but are both perfect gentlemen. I was at the hangout this weekend, and accidently sat in the new neko petting chair (lol!) when looking for a place to sit. Whereupon they both instantly volunteered to pet me.

Completely selfless gentlemen! ;)

I sat on that chair by accident when Chris was there, and he didn't offer a damned thing! WTF??

Hi all. I'm new to the group - mostly been reading and lurking so far.
I've visited the hangout and few times and - let's see - met Trout once and Chris a couple of times.

Are there many other Cartel Brits online during the day rather than evenings, UK time? I can't usually be online in the evening and seem to miss most of the busy get-togethers!

We will work on having some Euro friendly events. But it seems most of our group activities are unplanned.

Except for the 24 hour Halloween event (lots of fun, thanks :)), and the DJ events I keep seeing in notices that seem to occur when I am at work.

Well, there's Sid's DJ parties, which seem to happening fairly regularly on Fridays at 1PM SL time.

Probably because you didn't say something brilliant like: "is this a petting chair?"
