I think the main reason ppl use tools like this is to find out what a husband or wife is doing behind there back.
It's why I use it. Would it be inappropriate to suggest that maybe you should spend some more time & effort trying to figure out how to make the poor thing happy, rather than spying on her? In square meters, SL is bigger than France, ya know. If she's "been naughty all over the place in SL" then.. well.. Maybe you need to try something different.

I still have one in a door embeded in the ground below my house which I can't find but I know is sending transmissions. How do I know? A person who I used to be business partners with and I still communicate (know thy enemy) and he knows far too much information about me. I think he feels shuned romatically - why I don't know - we never had that kind of relationship - and I am killing all his listening devices one by one. Thursday nite a friend and I were sitting in my house talking and a griefer shows up in my living room and attacks my friend and I, with some kind of flamethrower device, sending us to the next sim. I immediately check my Chat History, get his name and find him in Search. This griefer is 2 days old, so I know he's an alt. My next step is to file a report. If you think you are being bugged you probably are. Why? Some people just don't have anything else to do. I have enough evidence on this guy to file and now I just need to know where to go to file it. Re: bugs and listening devices - is it possible via these gadgets for someone to listen to IMs? When I first came to SL, a friend told me the only two places truly "secure" for conversation were IMs and skyboxes. Now that I see bugs can be planted, I'm not even sure how secure skyboxes are *sighs* |

I see how friendly people really are here. Hey, thanks for welcoming me to the community. I figured I post about the topic at hand since, after all that's what this thread is all about. Glad to see you have set the tone on you treat people here, especially in light of not knowing just what my RL personal-relationship struggle is really all about....or who I am for that matter. All in all the 'tools' created for inworld use don't provide an abundant amount of information. At best, they are gimmicky. |

Lets say you attached an item you thought was something else, but included a bug. Now you have a problem till you figure out in which item the bug is hidden. If you own your own land and have control over who places what on your property, then its easy to find hidden listening devices stuck under your couch. Renters may have to visually look around with their invisible objects filter turned on.

Oddsock was spying on his GF. I never spied on my wife when she was on SL. Maybe I should have, because I was going through the archives the other day and I found out that she had been cheating on me. Makes my decision of a divorce that much easier.

I have been shore based the whole time. I have just simply come to the conclusion that she is a selfish, childish bitch who needs to go out and get a life and stop trying ride on the coat tails of others... Basically, I have realized that she was a mistake and I should have listened to everyone telling me so.

SL has Archives? If you have it set to save chat logs, then those are the archives I'm talking about, they save all your conversations with everyone you talk to.
