How often do you reveal your alts to people?

How often and for what reason do you reveal your alts to other people?


I have never revealed my alts to anyone.

After a few drinks I'll reveal anything and everything. Infact, if I know I'm going to be drinking I no longer even wear pants at all - it saves time.

Careful, your feelings might start showing too.

What reason do you reveal your alts? I like to brag and horrify.

I had an alt tell me she was an alt. That was a bit of a shock. I never revealed my alts to anyone. I only use them to hold my money before I visit a strip club and for target practice.

i made my alt and walked into my place i was working which was a huge club at the time and told everyone..the reason was i could not get my main logged off the grid..
i wanted an alt anyways to kind of dress up and see how well i would do with theings i have learned since i started sl..so really everyone knew right away..i even sometimes remind them when i am on her..i just can't hide on an alt..
i tried it one time with the intention of letting them know..

me and a friend knew ..i acted like i could not speak english well and wore alot of freebie things and it took about 5 minutes before the joke was up and someone said CEKA!! lol

I don't have any reason to hide my alts. I must be boring.

I don't reveal my alts simply because nobody really cares enough to ask. One I like to try to keep somewhat anonymous, but even then it's not a big deal.

Never. I consider them to be a shameful secret to be hidden from the world.

Yeah, but without pants, it becomes difficult to hide when you become 'emotionally' involved...

Edit: I don't necessarily hide my alt.. but only reveal it to people that need to know. Its a business alt so I don't really use it much anyway.

My partner hasn't logged on for more than 5 minutes in four days. You think maybe he might be revealing his alt?

Only my Partner knows my alts. They were created for specific purposes as well as allowing me to build, plan classes, explore, etc. without the group spam and IMs from friends when I'd prefer to be alone.

I don't mind revealing alts to a friend who asks. Mac is actually an alt, he just got way more playtime then my main. Now I am using my main more then Mac in world. I kinda like the quiet as nobody really knows who my main is. Mac remains my forum self though.

I've only revealed my ALT to a few people and I only got her because I needed to see if I could get one as I couldn't get my normal ALT inworld.

Poor Witch she's got a tiny invent and really bad skin.

The only time I suspected someone close had an alt was when the rhythm of their in-world time changed. But if they need an alt, it is probably more of a reflection of the state of the relationship more than anything else. My experience taught me to pay attention to how a relationship changes, regardless of the appearance of an alt or not.

Alts? What alts? No alts here, nope...

I have an alt and really dont care who knows! She only logs in to accept my group invites, pay me her stipend and check permissions on my products!

Quite a boring life she leads, oh well she likes it!

I sometimes write about my alts on my blog. But I have hardly any readers so it doesn't matter lol

i have an alt, most people know about him as he was my original main. lucky it was so long ago that most have forgotten too. he logs on for 5 mins a day and manages my games, he's also the other owner of the group for my land as a 'just in case'. he's also a anthro-fox who likes to roller skate and wears a monicle. go figure.

i'm not worried about people knowing him just don't expect me to always reply to IM's with him.

I reveal my alt all the time. She's damn good looking! If I say I will seend you a copy of something, (shape, boots, textures, scripts, whatever) it will most likely be from my alt. She has all the build tools, I have the clothes on my back. I let people know she is an alt right up front because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings when they find out that Janice is being played by Yosef.

Does it count if I reveal my (female) alt to my (male) main? What if things, you know, just take their course. A meaningful glance here. A hand placed on the other's arm there. A laugh at an unfunny joke in just the right place. They're just two young, attractive, sets of pixels in a crazy mixed up world with no one but each other to cling to.

Sometimes, things can just get out of hand and just, y'know, happen.

I use them for live displays. People seem to get a kick out of them. All except on eI keep hidden. its my hitman/woman hehe.
