From: Isabeau Imako Whats with all the Frenchman this, French guy that? Sheesh! Okay the guy spoke french and he was an ass, but I'm thinking if he was an American, no one would be pointing that out... The only two men here were the owner and the date. Not too difficult to differentiate.
To the OP, you handled the situation very well, and as others have said, a notecard isn't warranted. Rude, cowardly people exist everywhere - just be happy you found out about Mr. Asshat sooner than later. The French have a reputation - whether deserved or not I could not say - for being considerably smoother than that in l'affaires du coeur (I hope I got that phrase approximately right). So it's a disappointment when they aren't. Not so true of many other nationalities.

What is more fun when you get a long winded poorly written IM complaining about something in your land from someone who was not invited. I live on a island.. my sky.. err.. platform is at 742 meters up - not much there, I am trying to decide what to do this week. But in the middle of the platform I have a large teddy bear surrounded by police tape, a axe embedded in it's chest. I thought it was strangely cute, and had it out. I got a long IM from this person complaining about my lack of taste, my being a 'homocidaical sicopathic freak' and how I was being abuse reported for crimes against human decency. Oh, I was being muted also, so don't bother whining to them. After I finished rolling around laughing, I proceeded to estate ban them from about 21 other islands, but still, it pissed me off that I couldn't IM them back and twit them more. *grins* I think I will make sure the teddy stays no matter what I end up throwing together.. Wow.. I love SL.. where else can I get such fun reactions out of a teddybear?

From: Ricardo Harris That's what he meant by orbs? So what's your point? You're coming in from left out with this.
Person said as long as they have no security he felt welcomed to go in other peoples property. So what does your comment have to do with anything? What's your point? Duh!
Strange indeed. Any unsecured place in Second Life is open to exploration by anyone. Wulfric posted that banlines and security orbs define exclusions to the rule. You misinterpreted his intent and replied that you, as an example, are careful to secure land you desire to be private, when that was his original point. I thought you simply didn't know that by "orbs" he meant any scripted security system, but apparently you just totally missed out. You're welcome to continue believing that the purpose of SL is to come here to stake out ground and defend it firsthand against all visitors, but that's really more for Mr. "u r banned" and his representative minority. What a sadly limited point of view: build your own prison and live in it. Second Life is bigger than that.

Risky places

From: Kitty Barnett ...Although you have to wonder why someone who can randomly give away that amount would feel a need to have sex in a random person's house ... For some, being in a public, unsafe or unusual place is part of the excitement. I've had some pretty damn memorable experiences in the most unlikely of places. Here's hoping I'll continue to make more memories too! So just HOW nice is your place? angel

I do what I feel like it being they're my places which by the way I pay for. Everyone does as it's their right. You can't dictate what should or shouldn't be. Actually, you're rather behind in time in pointing out your philosophy as far as what should and shouldn't occur with people's or my property. I know what he posted. The only part I responded to was his saying he would come into places without security. So there. btw, You should see my prisons, both of them rl and sl. I'd bet you'll like them both.
