From: Brenda Connolly Put me down as another lover of her aircraft, I spend increasingly more time in The Huey I personally prefer my MD500. Its smaller, easier to park, and its color changeable. It looks real menacing in black. I usually keep one parked on the roof of my house. Before people went banline crazy, I used to regularly do long distance flights around the grid. I also own a Huey, but the MD500 is just more fun. Tied for first with the copter, my other favorite possession is my snapshot collection. I have snapshots that go all the way back to 5/21/2003, my 2nd day on the grid. Its a really nice record of stuff that once existed and is now long gone from the grid. I thought the early stuff was gone forever until I found a backup on one of my retired hard drives. I'm really glad I took those pictures, but I wish I had known about the tilde shortcut earlier.

From: Trout Recreant To those of you saying your friends, significant others, memories of good times, etc. Pfffft. That stuff is not possessions, so stop making us look bad by being all mature and sensitive and adult-like. LOL, true enough. I've been trying to think of any posession in SL that would be my favourite, and didn't really come up with much. I could say my collar, but that really comes back to a person in the end. So I'll say my hair. It's relatively unique in SL, despite (or possibly because) it's so simple, I've never seen any other hair I would rather have, and I had acquired it very early on. It's fair to say that it shaped my avatar's look and to some degree my evolution within SL. And it cost L$1.

You are definitely slutty in the best possible definitions of the word. Dirty, hot, and a little scary, but in a good way. I'd like do awful things to you, but I'm pretty sure you'd snap me in two like a twig and leave me cross-eyed, dizzy and confused. I'm giving you a 9.8, tied for the top rating ever given. Almost off-the charts slutty. Shame on you and congratulations. -- Trout

There are so many wonderful things/people that SL has brought to my life. My RL/FL is made much richer today because of my SL.
But my favorite thing in SL is my Suspicious Bodega Microwave Burrito.
It was a freebie I picked up at Burning Life.
You wear it and you start passing gas, loud ripping gas, and real brown gas comes out of you too.
3 or 4 of my friends have them too, as they are copy/trans (want one? I'm me inworld and I'll send you one!) and we wear them when we go to amusement parks.
I haven't laughed so hard in years. I'm almost 40 but this silly little thing makes me laugh like I'm 12 again.

Object wise, my favorite possession is my very first house, which is a small, 20x30 wooden 2 story cabin, custom built for me by Haden Divisadero when I bought my very first plot of land in Second Life. It holds great meaning for me because at the time I was absolutely clueless about building, and watching him work, watching the house take form, was an extraordinarily magical experience for me.
Otherwise, my favorite possession would really be the entire body of experience, learning, friendship, magic, and memories that my first year in Second Life has given me. No online experience prior to this has ever been so rich, so deeply meaningful and so truly rewarding as this.

I have one of lahar broadway's LB500's, which is basically the same so I agree that it is a fun sized ship to fly. Still ,to me the Huey is THE helicopter,in terms of the sound and the shape, and it will always be my favorite. I do wish it was color changeable though, I'd prefer something different to the Camo skin. A powder blue or pink one would be awsome.

Pink with big yellow daisies, like a Flower Power VW minivan from the 70's, would look great.

My very first one room house. I got it as a freebie and spent hours figuring out the build/edit tools to cut prims off of it. Even though I doubt I'll ever get it out again, I still have fond memories of how proud I was when I finally figured out how to do a lot of the stuff that I take for granted now. And you're right, it was one of the most magical experiences ever.

I have collected a lot of things in the past two years; my second rezday is Sunday. So I can't come up with just ONE, so I'll list a few.
My old-school TEASE bling necklace from RICX. It was unwearable for a while because LL broke the LOD in the viewer -- at normal standing distance, SOME of the little prims, but not all, would disappear, making the lettering look moth-eaten. But they fixed it in 1.18. I don't wear it all the time any more, like I did during my first six months in SL, but I'm still not giving it up. One of the first things that I bought for more than L$1. RICX is still there, in the same spot in Nepessing, selling mostly the same merchandise (though not ALL -- they've got Halloween stuff out now.)
My Autumn Faerie avatar from Into The Mist. It's ALMOST like going bare, but better. I don't wear the shape, though. Another very early buy. I remember what a struggle walking up the stairs to the waterfall was! (I wasn't as good at handling the keyboard controls back then, and I also had a slow computer.)
My Club Felix clothes, especially the cute Kitty tank top and the Crave hot pants. The latter were a special edition that Detect Surface made for his wife, and also gave to a few special friends; they weren't sold at the club. Club Felix, alas, is long gone, but Detect is still active in Second Life.
My limited edition orange velvet formal gown (Amber Velvet Crinoline) by Shenlei Flasheart. The one truly extravagant piece of clothing I own (L$1500), and there are only ten of them in that color in all of SL.
Calla Zinnia hair. It's my favorite everyday 'do now, replacing the Lashed Leilani that I wore for a long time. (They're both short bob styles, which is odd because I love my long hair in RL.) I wear both in a fairly bright red, which I get by adding an overall tint to blonde hair.
My collection of dances in my Abranimations Dance Sphere. I've built them up over the last two years from a variety of places, including Owenimations, Animazoo, and Sine Wave.
My house and land. The current land is next door to my original First Land, and the house is an expanded version of my first house, which was the first significant build I did in SL. (When I wanted to expand, I couldn't buy the adjacent plot, which was owned by somebody who had disappeared from SL, but there was a vacant new sim next door, so I sold my First Land to a neighbor and pioneered the lands across the border.)

My house is, without question, my favorite SL "thing". It's from Vision Homebuilders, the brainchild of the very talented Trouble McTeague. I just love the textures and the open floor plan. Ah, can't wait to get home for lunch and go check in.

Not counting my shape, skin, hair etc..... It has to be my home, the Egotherapy Centre. I've built it, rebuilt it, furnished it, moved bodily by 50 metres, redecorated it and added to it yet it still holds together and doesn't let in water! - I've grown very attached to it.

From: Teeny Leviathan ...I wish I had known about the tilde shortcut earlier. From: Lindal Kidd What's that? Ctrl+~ gives you larger snapshots (saved to disk), usually saved as bitmaps. They look much nicer than the default in-world snapshots.

I don't know if my av counts as a possession, but finding just the right shape, skin, tats, and then tweaking them all to look just the way I wanted made for an AV that I'm really happy with.
Also, there is the absolutely hideous couple of furniture pieces that I made when I first started building. Sure I would never put them in my house or try to sell them (they are ugleee), but they marked the point when I realized that I actually could build things, which in turn lead to me opening my stores and engaging in the sl community in a much deeper way.

Okay I am just "refreshing" this very interesting list. I kinda see a few themes here. People enjoy their natty modes of transport. They also enjoy their appearance. So do I - so I am not pointing any fingers! After all, if we dont look good and feel good about ourselves in SL we may have "issues" that need attending to. I love my Neko skin so I know ... People also count friends as possessions! I think that refers to lists of friends which are a valuable record of where we have been and with whom we have chatted/roamed/debated/shared/slept with. Keep going on this - this is a "happy" thread

My most favorite posesson, is my home. I love my home! Done in a Japanese EDO style with many places to sit and relax. And my favorite parts of my home would be my bathouse and shrine, which are in seperate yards. I love my home.
I do also adore these new shoes that I have, they are a replica of a pair Fiore stilettos I own in RL.

My slaves! OK, I don't have any slaves. I don't think I have a favorite possession, but I do really like the instruments I made. Esp. the ones that are copies of my RL instruments. I probably bore people to tears with them (just as I do with my RL instruments). I really do enjoy Lovescene, only I wish it would spend more time in certain positions. And my Flying Tako!

Mine is my Les Paul guitar built by Nomasha Syaka. When I was still really noob and before we started doing shows in SL, I would go down to his sim and lust after it. At L$2900 it was too steep to buy, but I promised myself that once we made enough coin from doing shows I was going to get it. It didn't take as long as I thought it would, but boy was I proud when I first strapped it on in world.
