If a male person in RL makes a female AV in SL, does this mean that the male person in RL is a closet gay or a crossdresser??? Troll. _____________________

Only because the usual suspects are going to try to derail it.. It doesn't deserve to be on the rails in the first place. _____________________

Would be interested on your thoughts... It's against the TOS for me to quote what's on the 2nd Life tab of your profile. But ... I'm glad you found that special SL man in your life, RandyChris. Sure hope the fiancee doesn't find out. ![]() /taunt _____________________

Information provided in profiles is fair game. The ToS deal with disclosing real life information NOT provided in the 1st life profile tab.

I am just sick of ppl who think that having an opposite gender character in SL means anything more than what it is, a character.
No I have no male alts and I am female but who cares and why even bother to make more out of it. kthnxbi _____________________

/me wonders how many Dragons aren't really Dragons ![]() I heard that men aren't allowed to play women in HiPiHi, the Chinese copycat SL, although women ARE alowed to play men. _____________________

I don't think you can conclude that they are gay or trans. I would guess that a good number of them are simply curious about what life might be like as the other gender. Another slice of this demographic that I have come across in the lesbian circles I tend to run in has been guys who are very intrigued by lesbian sex -- not something that relates to either being a gay male or a transgendered male (in most cases). So I don't think you can draw any general conclusions about why some people gender bend.

I think this discussion is ROFLtastic.
All this obsessing over men playing women, but so little over women playing men. Why? Also, transgenderism is not the same thing as homosexuality. A transgender person can identify as straight, gay, bi or whatever else. The two aren't the same. |

Hi there, Having been on SL for some time, and having read all the comments that "most female AV's on SL are male." I have this thought in my head... If a male person in RL makes a female AV in SL, does this mean that the male person in RL is a closet gay or a crossdresser??? I have only once worn my fiancee's panties, and she lost her anal virginity by daring me to do it... Would be interested on your thoughts... Randy - all it took was for you to put on her panties? Wow! Uhmmm...I would say her asking price was rather low!!! (I'm certain it's because you're one hell of a guy - or she really likes it that way) As for the issue of female AV's by males? Go for it dude...you've already put on the panties, so now suck it up, go for broke, and get yourself some good man-lovin'... _____________________

He cuts down trees. He skips and jumps.
He likes to press wild flowers. He puts on women's clothing And hangs around in bars?! He's a lumberjack, and he's okay. He sleeps all night and he works all day. |

I think this discussion is ROFLtastic. All this obsessing over men playing women, but so little over women playing men. Why? Oh I have often thought about this as well. I think it's primarily because of male homophobia. I mean in the lesbian community, we also don't appreciate men who are masquerading as women, but the irritation/annoyance doesn't even begin to approach the outright horror that straight men seem to have at the same phenomenon -- it seems to be a very deep-seated, visceral revulsion in many straight men. I think it must have to do with male homophobia -- only thing that makes sense. |

I think it must have to do with male homophobia -- only thing that makes sense. I suspect you're right. I suspect the reaction in the lesbian community is more one of being annoyed at being 'played'. I doubt most lesbians would mind members of their community who are seriously playing a female character, regardless of their RL gender. But I know they rile at the guy who puts on a female av, has sex, and then says "haha, that was fun, but guess what, I'm a guy!" Gee, I wonder why that would upset them? ![]() |
