no...i NEVER crashed a sim. i meant orbiting everyone off of one til it was good and empty! I LIKE sl. sim crashers are reprehensible. THEY STOP THE GAME!

me too. i know ONE permantly banned in the forums but appears regulary in world P. NEVA, but my forum bannins included in world bannings too. and my point was that i received massively more time for TROLLING (21 days altogether) and only ONE day for orbitiong evryone on a sim repeatedly. point is WHY crossban when they "crimes" are regulated the AREAS regulated so differently? I mean if i said all the things i've posted and got ared for it in world they's be laughed at by linden labs. here two days, and wouldn't ya think orbiting is worse than trolling ? the res mod closed it cause i should appeal to LL if i think they were iunjust. NOPE i don't

To be truthful 21 days would be a Permaban for me. 3 weeks away from SL would pretty much be outta site outta mind.

the one day ban was worse cause i could use an alt but only jumpman had my fav toys! and the 21 days were sorta weird and i cant say why BUT Linden Labs SWEARS nothing was wrong with the grid...AND I BELIEVE EM! AND LUCKY FOR ME THERE WERE A FEW wed. TOSSED IN ..I MEAN THEY WERE BANGIN ON THINGS

I think it makes sense to try to change forum policy with respect to crossbanning and necroposting, and I think it's possible to do, if one stays calm and suggests reasonable alternatives to LL/Strife.

But I do have to quibble with two of your points, Jumpy.

"any insult is FLAMING " well, insulting people IS flaming, and some people have thin skins, and then AR you. If enough ARs pile up, LL feels it has to do something. Your beef here is not so much with LL as it is with the style of discourse here, which seems more genteel than most forums. Maybe we all need to grow a skin. Or maybe you could stop gratuitously insulting relatively innocent bystanders, who are probably the people ARing you. Why insult people's pics in gallery threads? Spend your time insulting people like me instead, that at least makes sense.

Oh, who would do such a thing? lol I didn't consider that AR-worthy though, partly because they're just pixels on a page and partly because I chose to fuss back...I mean, it kind of sucks to AR someone when you're basically egging them on.

phil linden himself referred to sl as a free space! and it IS freer than the labs! the whole nettiquette thing is to "protect" internet wimps and give a poed mod rationlizations to lock and LR internet enemies! everydisagreement AINT trollin and evey INSULT is NOT flaming. and anyway the guidelines only DISCOURAGE not prohibit thses things, and necromancy is tardy. if it's open and you CAN post in it why arent ya allowed to. Of course every disagreement isn't trolling. If it were, I'd've been banned a long time ago, as would have pretty much every person here. Disagreement is fine. It's the way that we say it that matters. Sort of like that old axiom, "It's not WHAT you say, it's HOW you say it." The reason that I never joined SLC was that I didn't feel comfortable with HOW things were said. *shrug* To each his own I suppose.

Jumpy, you can believe me or not, but I never AR'd you for the Gallery posts. It's conceivable (although not likely) that I was short-tempered some other time and AR'd you then, but I didn't this time.

Jump, I'm also fairly sure that somebody else AR'd your little exchange with Ann, as you recall there was a lot of different people posting "awww Ann your pics are great". Ann is too forum-wise to AR you over that, as she herself says. Why not just believe her? And please don't go lookin' for who actually did it, what does it matter?

We're pullin' with ya man here, don't get yrself all twisty over little things. The big thing here is a possibility to actually make the forums less punitive and a little looser. Let's focus on that.

beyond a certain point i TRULY believe ya cause i am bein forum stalked by a particular mod, but i know ya did atleast once, maybe when i said that other guy called you crazy (i insulted HIM too, i think he ared me as well ) lol

Although banning people from SL for behaviour on the forums is debatable, I can see why I might make an exception in the case of Mr Lame.

I've only AR'd in general a few times and it was always when I was concerned people might genuinely be hurt by the things that were said. I don't specifically recall having had that reaction to any of your posts - I generally just file them away with the pies, penguins, and panties under 'forum nonsense' - but it is *possible* if you caught me on a crabbier-than-usual day.
