mine was dancing at a club and I hated it. I just don't see the point of it anymore and will never do it again.

camping. let's see: i've washed windows, dusted furniture, pulled weeds, washed floors, been buried head down in a grave, sat on a bench, sat on a fold out chair, spiked, hung, sat at a computer station, rode a bull, swept a floor, mopped a floor, danced, modelled, and so much more. i'm very well rounded.

My first job was as a stripper/dancer. The money was great and it was a lot of fun at first but it quickly gut dull and repetitive. I switched over to being a host at a club. The money wasn't as good but I had a lot more fun.

My first job in SL was to go around to different sims and write down the general makeup of the place, like 'shopping area' or 'residential island'... This was for a website. The pay was pretty good.

From: Joseph Worthington Same here.
Because I am, in fact, Kira's alt. DUN DUN DUUUUNNNNNN!!!
Hahah....just kidding. I can't back that up. But seriously...my first job was club host/manager. I keep worrying about this. OK in this case it seems to be just a joke (and Kira comes in later quite happily playing along with it - maybe they are and maybe they aren't and nobody else minds) but what if someone really was pretending to be your alt? What would you do? It's a bit creepy, no? (Sorry - not an attempt to derail the thread which is very interesting. I never had a job though I perform a social function bringing money in which keeps other people employed, if they want to be).

I was offerred a job as a manager for a group of female escorts
ie a Pimp - no bloody way, and escorts are simple prostitutes, a spade is a spade chaps.
then I was offered a job as a bouncer ie bully boy (no way jose)
I have morals - so I am a simple photographer specialising in semi-clad models
hehe (I'm not that stupid to say no)

From: Hal Harbour I but what if someone really was pretending to be your alt? I would pity their choice of who to immulate.

My first (and only) job was as a male pole dancer in a long defunct club (Tikki Bar). It was great fun and I met a couple of long standing friends there.

I took the independent route right from the start. I've made and sold my own stuff and I've dealt with the odd bit of land here and there. Never made big money, mind you! I've thought about being a model or a dancer but I model my own clothes and I'd find having to be somewhere at a set time difficult.

find out what your good at, building, textures, clothing, animations, gestures ect. lock yourself away for a month or so learning, building and creating then open up shop on SLEX with all the items you have created. thats pretty much what i did as my first job, and also a few private builds for people. mind you i am an Ogre and were anti-social at the best of times *goes to hide under his bar in the swamp so no one will annoy him* -Crunch
