because u know aswell as i do that prims seem to go faster than u think, i did have a plan but the prims had other ideas Garbage. You do the math first and make it fit. Your problem is you don't know how, or refuse to use the ways that will let you do it. _____________________

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things. Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut. |

In this case it is prims, in other cases it might be money. If you were in fact a REAL game designer and pulled crap like this on your employer, you would be fired. |

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

Chaos, it's really too late now due to already having renters, but I noticed the other day your shops are 10 x 10 and you are giving 200 prims. That is a lot of prims for 10 x 10 plots, not sure how people could use that many. Normally that size has about 50 prim limit.

Start with the four 28 prim park benches. Use great textures, reduce them all down to 3 prims and in the blink of an eye you've saved yourself 100 prims. I only stayed about a minute but I was able to immediately spot many ways to drop those prims. It will just take accepting the world as it is and adapting to it rather than expecting it to cater to your wants.

Just my 2 lindens..
Chaos, noone likes an asshole, especially when you are asking for help. Insulting people and getting your knickers in a knot will only ensure that any questions you have in the future will most likely not be answered. You are the owner of a a buisness, and should know how to take constructive criticism without losing it. If you continue to abuse and insult everyone you will be the owner of a very empty sim, noone likes having their home/buisness on a sim owned by someone who appears to be very unprofessional and volatile. Don't abuse me for this, it's the truth, and you have to learn to just bite your tongue sometimes in order tokeep the peace. Regarding your build I had a lookie and there was SO MANY places which can be pared down prim-wise without sacrificing the appearance. That big pile of cars and junk for example. When it's dark you would NOT be able to tell the difference between prims and a texture. The graveyard: the headstones are more than 1 prim?? WHY?? There are SCULPTIES for that! At the end of the day, if you really wanted help with your sim, the best thing to do would be to pay (or ask) an experienced builder to go around the sim and come up with lower prim solutions. You do NOT want to end up with a prim overload and angry tenants. Oh yeh, and Felonhall looks great during the day (hehehe)! |

It looks great with Windlight at night too. But the problem with prims is obvious especially if any traffic is to be expected. If it's just a vanity build all for looks then it wouldn't matter much, but as a business or a RP zone, It's going to be alot more expensive.

Chaos, what you need to do, is hire some PunkRock girls to dance naked on a grave in your sim. Just one at a time on a rotating shift. No good zombie place is complete without a naked punkrock girl dancing in a graveyard.

Go visit Suffugium. Post-apocalyptic dystopian and looking great. Anyway, months ago, somebody posted somewhere bemoaning the fact that it just wasn't possible to construct a sizable "midtown" because the best one could do is to use the corner of four sims, which would give a kind of island of sufficient prim-density, surrounded by emptiness, with no way to scale it larger. Somebody else suggested sorta the opposite of void sims: 4 sims worth of prims (and 4 CPU cores) all on one 256x256 region slot on the grid. I know: dream on!... but turns out, it wouldn't be practical even if possible: the problem would just shift from the sim to the typical client machine: unless one were to crank the drawing distance down to under 64m, that kind of continuous prim density would make the average viewer cam basically static--especially if, god forbid, there were avatars in the scene, too. So, it's kind of a delicate balance: if one gets lots of prims in close proximity, it doesn't necessarily follow that those prims will rez on a typical viewer with anything like acceptable performance. It may be helpful whenever rezzing a prim, to keep in mind the simple arithmetic of prims: on average, a prim uses up 4.37sq.m. of sim. So, assuming average density everywhere else, for every 28-prim park bench, you need to leave about 122 sq.m. empty. (I've often thought that sellers of high-prim items really should pay the buyers for the privilege of having their stuff rezzed. Practically speaking, that 28-prim park bench is costing about L$140/month in tier, just to exist in-world.) |

I went and took a look at Felon hall a few days ago.
several 66 prim dead trees!!! several 28 prim benches!! one outside wall was 138 prims, with each brick archway built separately. Could have used textures for a lot of that 13 prim deserted sofa, could have made one for 2 prims etc etc I am not a good builder but even i could see where the prims had gone. If you can find one, you seriously need to hire a master builder to strip away all the surplus prims. He/she would be worth every penny. |

Make sure you lock the outhouse door I am to classy to do it in an outhouse. But, the deserted dirty sofa might suffice. _____________________

If i got another sim next to felonhall, and it was the same estate and reigon could they share the prim limit somehow, like have say 25,000 on one and 5,000 on the other? Sim = Region. One Sim cannot be the same Region as another Sim. They are two completely different areas, quite possibly stored on different computers, and cannot be joined to share prims. Cut down your prims. I went to your build and while it IS very nice, I was stunned at the overuse of prims for stuff. [Edit: I reeeeeaally hope your renters don't read this forum. I would be furious!] _____________________

Gee... I love Suffugium, but never considered it all that bleak, even. Guess I have a grimmer idea of the Apocalypse. <snip> Ah, a more vanilla flavour of apocalypse? But I think it's a great example what you can do with textures. (And at Halloween, is wasn't bleak at all... )_____________________
